play with the big dog. Now you think you are some reformed self righteous poster around here. It's pathetic. I am what I am. I have opinions. They are often entertaining, sometimes of non popular opinion but never am I wrong.

Not with the way the o-line had been protecting him that whole game

The chance was slim but crazier things have happened. I'm just saying that is the only possible thing you could question his logic of letting Drew throw.

He had plenty of reason to go for it:

1. Awesome to break record in front of a national audience on MNF
2. Get the record out of the way so the team could focus on the next game w/o the distraction
3. Get the record out of the way bc it was obvioulsy adversely affecting Brees' play(He was pressing trying to get the record)

Prisco is just an angry little troll trying to get a response by any means necessary. Only people pissed at the Saints were PP and the Falcons mainly bc they were embarrashed on MNF

Agreed. He was throwing passes that he shouldn't have and normally would not have.

But all is said and done, and the Saints still skullfricked the Falcons on a national stage and Brees broke the record on a subpar game (well, subpar for Breesus)

PP keeps implying that the Saints ran up the score. The Saints were merely attempting to get Brees the record. It just so happened that he needed to score a TD in order to do it.

I'm pretty sure if we would have got the ball on our side of the field then Brees would have thrown for enough yds to get the record and then come out of the game or just handed off after that. Its Mike Smith's fault for not getting the 1st deep in his own territory. Heck if they would have taking a sack on that play then Brees wouldn't have gone on the field bc it would have been too close to get the record.

We would have scored with Chase Daniel anyway.
The Falcons' D would not have come close to stopping our running backs.

A little history for you guys. Prisco is the Jville radio host. Mike Freeman (yeah the other guy who writes for sportsline) used to be his cohost until he got the job with sportsline in New York (writing national columns about things other than just the NFL) that Prisco helped him get. They are BOTH flaming trolls...who will say anything contrarian to further their own respective careers.

PP is a HUUUUUUUUUGE Payton Manning fan and repeatedly on his show talked about how Brady and later Brees are not in the same class.

He has also pissed off quite a few of the Jaguars over the years. Garrard would not talk to him at all and MJD was pretty much in that boat with him this past September.
