according to a headline I saw, Saints completely changed their pass rush scheme this week to a more "player friendly" system, whatever that means. I saw much more pressure personally

Yea I saw that too. Underhill didn’t exactly explain it in great detail but it sounds like Rizzi just let the players rush with no strings attached. Cam said something along the lines of Allen had them rotating in and out too much to be effective. Rizzi simplified the scheme, kept them in for several plays at a time, and let them do their thing.

Idk if related but a long time ago Cam said something like he was told to stop the running back first, before trying to get to the QB.

Rizzi has a history of stingers, so when Turner shoved him, it caused a stinger and he went numb in places which is why he looked out of sorts. I think Turner thought he hurt Rizzi, and that was why coach was in his face telling him it was ok.

Their tackles fell down twice but they were definitely gassed up more than previous weeks

If Turner finishes the year healthy he will be off to greener pastures. 4 years. A couple of games. A couple mil in the bank. And probably a very healthy and fresh nfl ready body.

Maybe some team throws a big contract at him and we can at least come away with a decent comp pick. You can’t re-sign him with his injury history.

I doubt he's getting a multi-year deal due to injuries & lack of consistent production when playing. I think he'll be looking at a 1yr deal in the $6.5-$9M range, and if that's the case we should very much consider re-signing him.

Depends what he does down the stretch. If it’s a one year deal, for not much, im ok with it.

But you never know, Davenport got a big one year deal when he left us. No way I’d touch a multi year deal.

He did have a good game even though his best hit was against our coach. Let's hope he can remain healthy and sustain it.

Same for Penning.
