Make an argument for Polk beyond blind optimism that he was a 2nd round pick.

I don't need to. We gave up literally NOTHING for him! If you are going to sit here and pretend that a highly scouted player has a 0% upside chance then I have nothing to say to you. If you agree he has more a 0% upside, then there is nothing else to discuss, anyway - because we GAVE UP NOTHING FOR HIM

You are just mad about the team and looking for something to melt about

I advise this: Just stop being a fan. it's bad for you. You are literally just doing yourself a disservice. You don't want to be happy anyway.

You are making some hasty generalizations there, buddy. Crazy you know you so much about me. Just let daddy Patriots bend you over and buy their trash. 87 yards in his rookie season lmao. Year 3 breakout!

Because you and all your buddies posting this type of shite for every move this team makes are all the same. You are predictable and know nothing about the sport, scouting, team building, cap management, trade value, or literally anything else. You just come to places like this and post whiny miserable shite. You will, as always, be wrong once again. Good day sir.

I’m fine with trades like this and the one for Richards. Not much downside with us trading the rough equivalent of a late 6th/early 7th after considering the pick we get back with him.

He’s a guy I liked as slot receiver in the 2nd round that year. He’s got really good hands, and was apparently played out of position in NE.

We gave up something for their version of Fosky. He would have been cut if not for the injury, but we didn’t give up much. So hard to complain.

I have bigger issues with our past draft picks and fa decisions.

More hasty generalizations. Guarantee I know way more about the NFL than you do. I was on board with the Vele move because I think he’s a solid player. Polk is trash and that’s why I’m against it. Continue your blind optimism though, sir.

You're melting about the (rebuilding) Saints trading the equivalent of less than 1/100th of the average 1st round pick for a talented player who had 1 bad year who has 3 yrs left on a cheap rookie contract. You have proven this is not true.

It’s insane we have people saying “Wow! Solid move, we got the 37th pick for cheap!” But they don’t stop and ask why the Patriots were willing to give up on this player so early in his career after investing so heavily into him. Is it, perhaps, because he is a bust and a terrible player? Perhaps?

We swapped a 6th for a 7th round pick 3 drafts from now. That is not really "something"

We all know you are the FO bestestis .. it would be great if you played in some TD FF leagues and actually showed some worth by donating some money to us.

Money == Mouth.

I actually agree with you that the picks are virtually worthless and very low % of converting into active roster players. I just don’t even see a world where Polk makes the roster next year so I don’t understand why we’re making a move to acquire him.

I would but I’m in like 5 different ones and can’t keep up with all of those.

I don’t think it’s a bad move. He obviously had some talent to get drafted that high and the price was as low as it gets.

We just eating his guaranteed money.

So fricking stupid.

The Pats picked Mac Jones 15th overall, same QB we'll be facing this Sunday with the 49ers. The 49ers traded (3) first round picks to get Trey Lance at #3 OA, who now is backup two teams later for the Chargers.

But yeah, they got us.

You are aware that Mac Jones is also the backup for the 49ers, correct? And that Mac Jones is also on his 3rd team? Honestly don’t even know what point you’re trying to make there.

Until you do, I have zero respect for your FO prowess.

Ask dudes here how good I am at FF, and you'll hear mixed results ...

However, I never pretend to be an NFL GM... but we know, you know... terrible dude.
