“Once draft night hit and the Saints got up there I was like the Saints don’t ever draft LSU players….of course I wanted to go home and play for my home team but it’s the fact that I know they don’t draft LSU players”

-per his interview with Jacques Doucet

Arguably the worst tackling and the worst coverage LB since he entered the league, sounds like great drafting

He’s not wrong.

Unless you count the seventh round, then he’s wrong.

Make it Clapp.

And everyone on this board wanted him lol. Except me of course. Got downvoted to hell for saying he was a 3rd round prospect.

Have the saints been a bad team the past 10 years, or since Payton got here? Based off dumb LSU fans we must have been terrible since we didn't draft any LSU players.

How many championships have the Ravens won since drafting Queen? You tell me

We haven’t been a bad team, but we do have a few swings and misses in the draft when there were better players available, sometimes LSU players.

Not an LSU fan but I’m sick of people blindily defending it.. there is no damn excuse for not drafting 50 minutes down the road…

You at least had to draft a local favorite once or twice… they drafted Al Woods a fricking random.

Signing them doesn’t count there is 0 excuse other than Payton had personal issue.

What does it matter if the player you want is 50 mins down the road or 500 miles away. This is a dumb reason to draft a player.

Every single team can say this.

That is one bullet I'm glad we dodged. I have been a Tiger fan since pretty much out the womb but this fricking LSU hate narrative has become too much.

The ONLY time you can say we should have drafted a LSU player was Jarvis Landry.

Otherwise we couldn't (Peterson, obj, etc), shouldn't have (Mathieu, Collins), or they were overrated (key)

Stanley Jean Baptiste over Landry was a head scratcher for sure

Go back and watch him shut down an elite back in Etienne, including saving a TD on a well-designed screen.

He did that “since he entered the league”?

He dominated a 1st rounder one on one. Close enough.

Yeah but he did that in college not in the league where everyone is just as big and fast as you are.
