Hello fellow Who Dats. Making my first game in quite a few seasons Thursday. Can you give me some advice for safe (if any ) parking spots nearby?

Inside the Superdome Parking Garage is probably the safest, but I hate parking there. I usually just park in the Warehouse District and am fine.

There is a car rental place off poydras service road and galvez my family and I have been parking at for years. It's $30 and a short walk to the dome. They close the garage during the game so nobody can get in a snoop around. It's tight though so if you have a big truck you probably wont be able to fit. After the game it feeds onto pydras or tulane heading west.

Mate, I suggest you find well lit and complimentary street parking in the WHD and enjoy a casual stroll towards the Dome. With the $30 in savings, you and your guest may enjoy a pregame Miller Lite or Bloody Mary as you take in the various scenes of revelry along the way. I always skip over to Poydras for the final few blocks, as something about seeing my fellow Saints fanatics on that grand boulevard gets me the ultimate pregame goosebumps. I also like peeing in the beautiful Le Pavillon hotel and admiring the street-facing facade. I sometimes grab an additional Bloody Mary cocktail if their small bar isn't too crowded.

I don't think there have been any issues with break ins so far this year but all bets are off for a night game. Generally if you park in a garage you will be fine. There are multiple garages off O'Keefe by walk ons that are a short walk to the Dome and feed to Canal after the game so it's convenient if you are going basically anywhere but the West Bank.

If you cant park at the Dome, park in a garage.

DO NOT park on the street anywhere or in ANY surface lot.

WHD in front of upscale condos or a restaurant / bar that will be open past midnight is still worth the risk imo. Maybe tape a "nothing of value in car - Geaux Saints" sign to the inside of the window.
