dear god. The NFL has totally went pussy. I hate to see what Kirwan would think of Bill Romanowski if he played today. He would probably thinkshe should spend time in Angola.

Sorry if germans. #espnhatesthesaints

Holy cow, can we drop this argument, please? I'm all for the hits, but if you really think INTENTIONALLY trying to hurt someone should just be considered a part of the game, then rethink your life.

touche. pretty much every team has similar programs. The NfL front office needs to crack down on this bigtime unfortunately the Saints will be made the example.

I still don't know which player it could be that would sue. I can't remember the name of any players that played against the Saints that was put out of a game because of an illegal hit.

As far as the playoff games against Kurt Warner and Brett Favre in 2010. That was just aggressive play against aging veterians. THe Giants played just as aggressive against Farve in his last game as a starter for Greenbay in the NFC championship game.

good fricking luck trying to prove an injury was caused because of the bounty program or just a fluke injury.

That would not be the venue, sport.

The Saints, their coaches, and players affected by penalties from the NFL Should file suit against the NFL.

It seems to me that it would be fairly easy to show that this type of activity has been going on all over the NFL.

Let me know what the precise cause of action and theory of recovery would be. I'd be interested to know.

Removal of sanctions.

if it can be shown that the practice has been going on in other places ....it seems that the league would have been negligent on a league level and sporadic to say the least in their enforcement of this rule/s.

Doesn't rise to the level of a civil action as far as I can see. I can't think of a single claim for relief in federal or state court that wouldn't be dismissed on a single motion.

Can't prove any of the injuries were because of bounties. Adam Schefter is a fricking dumbass. That a-hole has been riding this nonstop. It's gotten rather pathetic.

I'm sure a lawyer or lawyers can make the arguments. The real question is would the saints or it's employees do it?

If the penalties are severe enough....if the loss is enough than the merits of the case can be argued.

While the cases are completely different Bama sued or is amidst a suit with the NCAA due to a ruling from the NCAA.

I've practiced law in state and federal court for twenty years and the idea is ridiculous to me. The only claim the Saints would have would be if their franchise agreement were somehow violated. Don't see it.

I root for a few teams.

I really dont like bounty systems, and i am sure they run one or did at one time.

After whats about to happen to the Saints, im sure their wont be one anymore. Just glad it doesnt effect any team i like.

They can sue . If we get punish but other teams that had players confess, they can sue on the fact that the nfl punish one but not the other. Its like if two people killed someone and both confess and they let one go and not the other that person can sue and get off the punishment or just a lesser penalty.

They might suspend our defensive players? Looks like we're finally getting some good news out of this.
