they can sue on the fact that the nfl punish one but not the other. Its like if two people killed someone and both confess and they let one go and not the other that person can sue and get off the punishment or just a lesser penalty.

If you find a case where the "equal protection clause" or, for that matter, "due process" applies to the innerworkings of a private, voluntary organization like the NFL in its disciplinary administration, let me know. Seriously.

if you practice law for twenty year than you would know that anyone can sue anyone for anything and the court house is always open.

The Saints were simply unlucky. Every team does something like this, we were just the ones that got caught. And since the NFL is all about player safety right now an example will be made out of us.

this x1000. While I normally stay away from "the sky is falling" crap that's usually posted when anything negative happens, in the modern Goodell NFL clean up organization, the Saints will definitely have an example made of themselves. Worst time for it to happen with everything going on with the contract situations.

Can't tell me that talent evaluation right now is getting hurt with all this distraction. More time being spent on finding out what penalties will be imposed and ways around them than actual final scouting tallies. I have a feeling this year's draft might not be very good.
