Kreutz may outplay being downplayed this season if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I'd hope he can give a better year than he did last year (with all the talk of how he lost a step last year)... When you are a center and lose a step, you could be done bc a step is all needed so without that, your toast.

I can't imagine it helped his game playing on an awful O line. Most seem to think he was one of the best they had on that line. And like most have said, the guards are the ones that take on blockers most of the time and the center is there to help double team. Being between Nicks and Evans has got to feel amazing after playing for the bears.

One thing is for sure...Saints fans and players will love this guy's personality. A leader who is really feisty. Perhaps he'll cost you guys a few personal foul penalties this year, seriously it's probably going to happen.

It just says they're going all in and, if possible, would like for him to develop another season before putting him out there.

I think it says they want him to learn for another year. Like another poster said earlier, if they didn't believe in him, they would have resigned Goody to the 3 year deal. Also it allows Tennant to back up all 3 interior positions which they started working on him with last year.
