Man, this guy is all over the place in draft prospect rankings and mock drafts. From mid first round to 4th round grades. Edge guy with a short stature at 6'1" but a stout 240-250lb frame.

here's a decent read on whodatdish a while back.

any other thoughts of what you know or opinions of this guy. Edge is still a high priority and 2 3rd picks if he's still there this is a guy to watch out for.

Josh Sweat is another speed rusher catching my eye. 6'4" 250 runs a 4.5 40 39" vertical....

He's too short to play 4-3 DE and wouldn't have much value for us as a 4-3 OLB considering half of the time we don't even field 3 LBs. Isn't an exceptional athlete.

Reminds me a lot of Michael sam. Undersized but with decent arm length, underwhelming athlete, pretty significant production. I think production has value but there has to be some traits there to make it worth it.

Sweat I like, just not at 27 (which I've seen mocked). I'd take him at our 3rd round pick easily.

I thought Sweat has serious long term knee issues?

height isn't everything from an edge rush perspective. dwight freeney just an odd example.

I think that is why there is such a big range of where he is projected in the draft. He had a horrible knee dislocation and like Bridgewater he could have lost his leg. FSU let him rush back instead of properly healing and some teams may think that brings about long term risks while others may not.

IF the Saints believe he is truly healthy I don't have an issue with gambling on him at 27. Given health I think he will have a Danielle Hunter like impact.

If only Buddy D was still alive. How funny would it be for the Saints to draft this guy and Buddy D spends the rest of his career trying to pronounce his name.

i'm sure kristian garic will work diligently over the offseason to make sure he's able to pronounce it correctly without hesitation.

they better not give that dipshit the full time job. i've been out of the country for work the last few weeks and hadn't been listening to sports talk on the way home much until yesterday. that stupid motherfricker garic was hellbent on making up wrestling names for everyone on the show. it was cringe worthy as no one wanted to do it but him and he kept on going

Tulane's Ade Aruna I would take with a 5th or 6th round pick. Dude is a freak of an athlete that football is still new to for him. Had 10 sacks his junior season at DE, was moved inside to play tackle this season so his sacks went down. But this kid could turn into a solid player with the high ceiling he has.
