Martin
MLB (Carl Bradford?)
OLB (Easly, Achoo, Convoy?)
I have no idea which names will fall to us or not, so I ain't picking a name other than Martin. After hearing Paeyton say that the 3 guys they were targeting as trade up guys were Shazier, Mosley and Cooks that he wants to upgrage the ILB and OLB position. Since Shazier will be used as an ILB in Pitt, then I wonder if that's what they were targeting him for here. So I think that they will look at one of the LB spots if Martin is not there. I get the impression they are not seeking a CB, but what the hell do I know.

I'll throw my darkhorse in there, even though I think a few other players are far more likely: Cody Latimer

quote:That's good info. I had a strong feeling they were looking hard at them, and while I love Cooks I would have loved Mosley more. I just knew we would have to jump the Ravens to do it and that would have been more costly.

I don't think ILB/OLB matters worth jack in our defense. We run a 2 traditional LB set 75% of the time so I think the LB we are looking for is a traditional LB as opposed to a pass rusher like Galette.
I also heard him say that we had 3 players left they wanted once we traded up and that Cooks was the only one they would trade up for. Pretty sure Verrett and Dennard were the other 2 since they had no more traditional LBs and C would have been a reach and CB has been a position they were looking hard at.
I really think we don't take a pass rusher unless the value is too good.
Problem is, what traditional LBs will be there at our pick and which ones are worth it.

I've been right about many things so far buddy.
We were looking at Shazier and Mosley as well as Cooks(and likely Dennard and Verrett). I was right in thinking they'd trade up for a guy(though Mosley was gone by that time so I was wrong about the pick). I was one spot off of the trade up spot. I was right that they would have traded up for Mosley. I was right about them wanting to upgrade at LB(traditional over pass rusher). I was right that we wouldn't take Lee over Cooks.
But most of that stuff many people could and have gotten right by paying attention so it's no great feat.
Quit being so hurt Chadwick.

The more I think about it, I think it will be an OL. They've interviews Martin, Moses and Trai Turner. I don't think the brought in any CBs besides Colvin.

U serious? They brought in a ton of CBs

Speaking of CB's...I want Aaron Colvin later in the draft.

At one point it seemed like half of the visits were CBs, and maybe it was. Blues?
