yeah in the overall picture of wasting the last 2 or so years of drew brees in Nola

way to be consistent, bud. like I said, keep it coming. You and your Eeyore Posse keep us entertained.

I don't absolutely love the draft so far, but I don't hate it either. At this point, it just feels like the Saints have completely ignored bpa and are looking to fill needs regardless of rank. Very obviously a huge need for defense and I love acquiring depth so I'm fine with it so far. It's also becoming clear that Josh Hill is going to be the guy this year at TE.

I agree there but don't know if I would call it a complete rebuild. Maybe a balance of preparing for the future along with adding talent that can contribute now. That's my nope anyway because I know the Brees window is closing but I want to enjoy it a couple more years.
I support because I also don't want to go back to same old saints when Brees finally hangs it up. Hopefully we have a solid team ready for the next guy.

Not really. There's a difference between discussing the possibilities or disagreeing with the decisions and saying that you know for a fact that everything is frick in stupid. No one knows how any of these picks are going to exactly work out, and that includes nfl gm's.

Death squad your unintelligible rambles are highly entertaining... please continue to make everybody on this board dumber everytime we read your posts.

Collins' agent just made him an undrafted man

Payton always says we are building for now and for later. We are all in now and later. That just means we are taking whoever we view as the best value that fits within the teams vision. Whether a player starts this year or two years from now, they have a vision for how he fits in to the grand scheme.
And that's the way it should be. You shouldn't take only high upside low floor guys or just middle of the road safe guys. You need to find value regardless of what package it comes in.
And we will find a way to make the Oline work. Payton has a plan but is being pc just in case Peat doesn't beat out one of the tackles. If he does someone is moving to guard (or the bench if we drafted a guard but not looking likely now).

McShay just said we've had a good draft. I rest my case.
And McShay has done what exactly?

Sounds to me nobody has faith CSP can develop a QB.

If Peat is the shite, then Strief will move back to guard (have a seat Lelito). Will be that biggest line we've had in awhile. The Saints are serious about pass protection and running the ball.

Payton saying he had a really high grade on Mike Glennon is not exactly inspiring confidence lol.

Payton brought a Super Bowl to the Saints. The Saints. 8-8 was our best record for 21 years. Didn't make the playoffs until year 21. Didn't win a playoff game until year 34.
I'm going to trust Payton.

i don't mind the OT, but it signals rebuilding or exuberance (the QB also)
Rebuild is a strong word. I'd say shift in philosophy. Since 2006, we've always gone WR/CB heavy in the draft and FA with Drew carrying this team. Now we are working on defensive front seven, OL and RB heavy in the draft and FA.
It reminds me of when Denver decided to focus more on Terrell Davis and defense than just try to have John Elway carry the team at the end of his career. Smart move IMO, rather than keep doing the same thing over and over again or blowing it up completely.
