The NFL needs a severe penalty to discourage the bounty system. In all honesty there could be criminal charges and civil charges down the road. Playing NFL football does give you permission to commit a crime on the field.
Please show proof of the alleged crimes.

the Saints aren't the Packers or Giants or Steelers and punishing the Saints by vacating the superbowl could set a good example.
What the hell does this mean? explain please.

but you cannot assault someone on the football field.
Please define this "assault." What does it look like and where did it take place? Who would determine it? Mike perriera, former head of officiating has examined the Saints/Vikings NFC Championship game and stated he saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Haven't watch any ESPN or media sport shows lately have you? They have all kinds of great ideas for punishment.

The saints aren't an historically rich or important franchise like the Packers, Bears, Giants or even the Lions. The saints are small-market with a mostly losing history which does not have a major industry like the automotive industry which advertises heavily on tv or corporate headquarters like NYC or Chicago.
Punishing the Saints wouldn't be as big as a deal as punishing the Giants or Packers or Cowboys. The saints are small market and no one outside of LA and the Gulf Coast region of MS really gives a shite about the Saints. Plus Shreveport is full of Cowboy fans like other places in NW LA.

someone please explain to me how this whole situation gave us an advantage
The bounty money we are talking about amounts to nothing more than drinking money for the players. This whole thing amounts to nothing more than a witchhunt by the fricking media.

If they take away the SB win and trophy I am doing what Reggie Bush should have done with the HEismann. Have another made.
frick this. It is the pros. They STILL did not do Suh type of dirty hits. Some hard licks that skirted the rules? Yes.

thought Yahoo news was somewhat respectable. Apparently they will let any a-hole writing a blog in his parents basement be a journalist for a day. All this shite is starting to get on my nerves a bit.
Actually, that's exactly what it is on that particular part of the Yahoo site. It is a place where fans can contribute articles. The guy is not actually a journalist employed by Yahoo Sports. Relax.

As of now it's been shown the saints broke 1 NFL rule about paying players money that's not in a contract. There's breaking a rule and then there's cheating. Night and day.
