Man I keep wanting to temper my expectations because he's only a rookie but he keeps doing it game after game.

Man.

My main thought on this is that if we can just teach Crawley how to catch he's gonna get a million INTs. The dude is always right there in coverage, and with Latt playing like this he's gonna get targeted a lot.

I don't even understand how that's possible.

dirt doesn't have the ability to intercept.

As Chad said. Int gets more deductions than an incomplete pass.

Yeah, but zero completions should render a 0.0 passer rating.

Its possible because he has freaky measurable's very similar to Patrick Peterson or Darrell Revis etc. he is physical, has above average size, and he blazed a 4.36 40, while suffering a hammy pull.

He is a freak athlete, kind of like Donte Stallworth playing cornerback back.

People on here who obsessively follow the draft knew that he was awesome and just needed to be healthy to be good

The formula is complicated. But it checks out.

I think his true test will be against Kirk Cousins and Matt Ryan.

But for now he looks like the next Marcus Peters

Just so you know using the college football formula this would be correct but not in the NFL.

An interception does not result in a completion (I know you know that). What the formula doesn't take into account is that the receiver has the ability to catch a pass, while the ground does not. That's not what we're looking at right now though. Statistically speaking, since Lattimore is so good at taking the ball away, it's a safer bet to just give up instead of trying to complete the pass.

I will try and explain it in easy terms. The NFL uses 4 guidelines for the rating.

Completion %
Yards per attempt
TD per attempt
INT per attempt

Each of those can you give you points. Up to 2.375 based on the guidelines.

You then add all 4 up, divide by 6 and multiply by 100 to get the number.

So throwing it in the dirt would give you.

0
0
0
2.375 for no int.

2.375/6 and then multiplied by 100 is 39.6.

Edit: the graphic by PFF does seem to have a typo for dirt. It should be 39.6 and not 36.9
