it is pretty much a win win, but god do I hate seeing the Falcons win anything

Rooting for the Pack is shortsighted, the Saints still have 2 games with the Falcons, but are essentially 2 games behind GB already.

Home field becomes moot if you don't win your division, and it's possible to sweep the falcons and lose the division.
Thus, secure the division first, worry about seeding later. Easiest way to secure the division is for our division foes to lose as often as possible.

I want Green Bay to win every fricking game they play until the NFC Championship.
I want the Saints to go to Lambeau fricking field, beat their asses, then I want Brees to say it was due to the extra offseason work during the lockout. He can then say no more questions, and leave the room with his middle finger in the air.

This. We control our own division. We could go 15-1 and still be stuck playing in Lambeau, though. Pulling for the Falcons this game.

You're familiar with the horse and cart analogy, correct?

Gotta root for the Falcons in this one. Saints are already leading the NFC South, a loss by GB would help the Saints more than a loss by ATL. Gotta look at the bigger picture.

How about pulling for the losing team since it's a win-win game? At least that may make it fun to watch. Otherwise just turn off the game and check the final score later.

Win what's in front of you. Division is what's in front of us right now.

Please God let them find a way to both take an L...if not....Then let the failcons be violated rectally by a diseased baby rhinoceros!

If it was any warm weather team or somebody that didn't already have the tiebreaker against us I hope the falcons lose every game, but let's be realistic. Finally we as Saints fans can legitimately say that we want Superbowls, not just playoff appearances. With that said I hope they both get beat up with a Pack win. We still haven't exactly performed well in cold weather.

I think it's in the Saints' best interest for the Falcons to win. Do you really want to play at Lambeau in January?
Posted on 10/9/11 at 9:06 pm to Jason9782003
We may not be playing ANYWHERE in January if we don't win the Division.... see: Last year
Posted on 10/9/11 at 9:33 pm to Laaz2750
That's my thinking also. I'd rather get a bigger lead in the division and not have to worry about ATL being right on the Saints heels all year.
