Brees also threw a dumbass pick in the endzone.

I'm just real disappointed in the defense.

I don't see how the defense could have this much of a drop off over the offseason. Looks like they didn't do a damn thing but sit on their asses the whole time.

bullshite. That's absolutely his fault and I'm glad he's feeling shitty about, he needs to feel shitty about it. He did not secure the ball properly with both arms and he's going to make sure it never happens again. And it will never happen again.

yea but its something about the first game of the season. He has fumbled in the first game 3 of the last 4 seasons. 2011 and 2012 were near the goal line.

Colston didn't cost this team the game.

Except he kind of did. If Ingram had fumbled there, everyone would be ready to ship him off. Because it was Colston, "ohhh but the defense!". Colston's fumble lead directly to us losing the game.

if we're talking directly...The special teams failure to block a kick directly lead us to losing the game.

So you mean to tell me, in a tie ball game in overtime, Colston fumbles on his own 30 yd line, setting the opposing team up for a game winning FG, and I am not to blame him for the loss???

Yeah, ok, right.

In the situation he is responsible.

his fumble helped seal our fate but the game probably doesn't come down to that if we had got more stops on defense.

Drew Brees threw an awful interception in the endzone that thwarted a good drive.

there were other things to consider in the loss.

that can't be too hard to comprehend.

If Brees doesn't try to force it to Cooks in the endzone, the game never goes to overtime. The secondary playing 25-30 yards deep like the Falcons had 4 Randy Moss clones along with the inability to get Ryan on the ground is what cost us the game.

I just meant if someone wants to point a finger at Colston, you have point one at Brees too. Having said that the defense was the most concerning thing about today.

Lots of fingers to point at for the loss especially the D-line but let's not act like Colston's fumble wasn't a big deal. Seems like he has a knack for fumbling in big moments.

Colston had nothing to do with allowing the Falcons to easily march into FG range inside of two minutes at the end of not one, but both halves.

You have to give some credit to the ATL kicker. Guy hit two from 51+ when it counted.
