Hayes ramed Wills vehicle so hard it shatters back window.That was Hayes first mistake and if someone did that to you what would you do Hayes then gets out of his vehicle and so does Will a heated exchange follows. Wills wife gets out and tried to calm then down. Will sees the gun in Hayes waistband and tells Hayes I'm getting my gun. Then Hayes shoots wife and Will turns and takes the the bullet in the side then turns to try to get to his gun but takes 7 bullets in the back. I say Hayes spends the rest of his life on the farm !

Since we've been basing this entire crappy thread on assumptions, Occam's razor points go the criminal fraud of an open crime scene (maybe not with NOPD lol) to be, by far, the least likely scenario.

I think he's got a near impossible defense given what we know at thisn point (hence his attorney throwing out crime scene tampering), but if Smith turns out to have pulled a gun and was threatening, Hayes may (still not imo, but legally) be justified here.

i have a friend who works for NOPD... gonna see him in a few, will be interesting to see what he has to say about the case (he's not working it BTW)

Not all calls to NOLA 911 seem to connect.
That's what im saying, there wont be total confirmation until they investigate Hayes phone.

Did he beat her?
All I ever saw about that one incident was he drug his wife out of a club by her hair.. and her injuries (if any) were extremely minor.
I don't agree with that action, but it's not like he beat her or has any other violent past.
