Saints have just caved
Sometimes it’s better to just cut bait, homie.

He also alluded heavily that this move was done to remove a disgruntled player out of the locker room and the Saints were fine with giving him away if it met him being gone. He also said CJGJ being unhappy and it being the final year of his contract tanked his value and the Saints did this to save the locker room from distractions.
See ya

I figured this was the case. You were not going to get anything for him, but you could not keep him around if he was going to be a locker room cancer and not give 100%.

He said the drafting of Alonte Taylor, while at the time we couldn't figure out why they would take a CB in the 2nd, was done knowing full well he would be the replacement for CJGJ.
well, that's a high bar, so hope he's up to the task...

You’re working on another 26 with this patient list bud

He basically quit on the Saints, so the Saints had to quit on him.
Sucks, but you don't need a locker room cancer.

He always acted like a little bitch, but he was our little bitch ??. Probably in the real world he has a borderline personality disorder.

It seems pretty obvious he had become a cancer in the locker room. It’s not really surprising after watching him for a few years. He’s a guy you love to have on your side but when he’s not he becomes an absolute menace. They didn’t care about compensation because they felt him remaining on the team was detrimental to the culture. As fans we have no idea what’s going on behind closed doors. Yet we all think we would be the greatest GM. Any of us as GM would be fired in a year and I include myself in that.

Great. They just set the precedent for how all future players are to act when they want a new contract, because they know the Saints will cave and give them the win.
This is how the saints operate now. Most players fall in line.
I love cgj, but if he was really going at the coaches like that it's time to move on.
The organization making this move is actually the oposite of what you said. It shows future players that they either fall in line or get shipped out.
My only problem is that they should've shipped him out sooner when his value was higer.

That's where the cap mismanagement comes in.
We likely weren't going to be able to keep MW and CGJ but we lost both for effectively nothing.
And we signed 2 older guys who are just perpetuating the cap issues.
They easily could've kep both players if those players signed for what the saints thought they were worth.
Why do you keep perpetuating this bullshite?

So that Chris Olave can run right by him when they try him as a traditional FS
He will be playing a malcolm jenkins role in philly. Not fs.
