Working with inactives during pregame warmups. How bad of a miss was this by Loomis and SP drafting Turner? It was a bad pick

Sad part is that some of the DEs taken after him have played well, such as that guy Tampa has with the hyphenated name (can’t remember off the top of my head)

Yikes! Must be in the doghouse for something. That’s pretty bad.

We could have gotten him in the 2nd and had another quality player like Nick Bolton or Azeez Ojulari where we picked. I know Pete Werner turned out to be a good pick at LB in the 2nd but Bolton is even better and Ojulari could have been the situational pass rushing DE that we really needed so you could kick Davenport inside with Onyemata on passing downs and had Cam and Ojulari at DE. They drafted Turner on his height/weight alone and not on his actual performance. You can do that just not with your 1st round pick.

The film on him when he plays he was pretty damn disruptive. I don’t get the scratch.

If he busts it’s not bc of his production. It would be health. Payton is a damn good player.

He’s coming off injury and they may not want him coming in for a game like this. Kid is only in his second year.

When healthy at UH he was a beast, but health was always his issue. They may be simply bringing him back in to the fold slowly.

Oof. I’ve defended him but a healthy scratch as a first rounder is never good.

Bolton is not better than werner.

I think he is inactive because he had a bad game and didn't play many snaps anyway.

I'm not ready to write him off.

Healthy scratch probably has alot less to do with his onfield talent and more to do with something disciplinary
