The National Football League and Verizon announced today a multi-year partnership in which Verizon’s portfolio of premium digital and mobile media properties, including Yahoo Sports, will stream in-market and national games, including national pre-season, regular season, playoff games, and the Super Bowl nationwide to sports fans – regardless of mobile network. The partnership kicks off in January 2018 with streaming of the NFL playoffs on Yahoo and Yahoo Sports, in addition to go90 and the NFL mobile app.

So starting with the playoffs in January you can stream the games on your phone through the Yahoo Sports App.

The NFL needs to stop signing deals like this. The real $$ is in selling games a la carte in streaming form, just like the NBA has. They're gonna figure this out too late and lose it all.

Finally. I never understood how the masses didn't even have a streaming option for games that are on local television. It made no sense how such a big league could be that far behind. I am in Houston. If I am out of my house on Sunday, I am better off with the Saints not on local television so I can stream my father-in-law's Sunday Ticket. If the Saints are on local TV, I was forced to stream from reddit.

Will this be better than Sunday Ticket?

So, still can't see the Saints when I'm out of market?
The NFL is infuriating.

So still the games I don't care about in tv now on my phone. How the NFL can't offer more out of market games is dumbfounding

$$$$$$ 2.5 B, yes, B. Ratings are down this year. Care about the players? Do away with Thursday night games. One word for the owners (and the Commish who’s contract is profit based ) —- GREED. In the end, it will cost them big time imo.
