If the Saints are going to make a big trade it should be this offseason or else they will have to go with Hill or another veteran free agent for 2 years. Sam Howell and Spencer Rattler are projected as the top 2 QBs and neither scream franchise QB to me.

Rattler could be a good one. Howell reminds me of Baker Mayfield. There will likely be a guy or two that has some great college season out of nowhere and emerges.

I enjoy watching Howell play but I just don’t see him as a great NFL starting QB. Did you know that Howell has never eaten a steak or hamburger? For a kid with his stocky build that was interesting to hear. He’s not fat but he looks like enjoys food.

Joe burrow had one good season and everyone wanted the saints to trade Brees, all picks and their left nut for him, so who knows

The dude is aesthetically challenged, for sure.

Jameis is going to be the guy and will likely get every opportunity to be the guy doing forward.

The people on this board thinking Brees is more washed up than Jameis is laughable. Brees might not be able to throw it deep, but his pinpoint accuracy and making great decisions allowed him to have a great year.

Jameis didn't even get the ball when Brees went down with an injury. What does that tell you about what Sean Payton thinks of him. Just because Sean says "my starting QB for next year is already in the building" doesn't mean he believes that, he could be just stating that to throw other teams off when the draft or free agency comes around.

And one more thing, because hardly any of y'all pro-Jameis fans get it:

JAMEIS WILL NEVER REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF INTERCEPTIONS WITHOUT SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF PASSING YARDS AND TDs.

I’m not saying Jameis will definitely be better than he has been but there are plenty of examples of QBs being turnover prone in their early years and then turning it around once they hit their prime.

Right now. There will be a handful that will be given 1st round evaluations just the same as any other year. Do you think people were talking about Mahomes or Josh Allen before their final year?

You cannot win in the NFL, especially in postseason play, without the threat of throwing deep. Brees eliminates this threat with his ability to throw the ball on a tight line.

Only he had 12 less interceptions to 5 less TDS in his second year in the nfl. They also had a much better running game than they did in Bruce’s first year.

What makes you think he won’t improve outside of message board bluster?

I agree, that was the best season of football I watched and it made it better that he was cocky about it

How many he had in his last year in Tampa.

Garbage QB who will never lead a solid team into the playoffs.

CSP could mold any QB in the first round into an 11-5 QB, with a good defense, of course.

Don’t underestimate CSP and his ability to develop a young QB.
