Like who?

Brees? Because I don't know anyone truly blaming him for this mess.

Goodell? Because that will never happen

Well, in Mickey's defense, the second time he did have a tremendous pile of shite dumped on his table. I don't honestly believe he, Vitt, or CSP had any idea Goodell would pull this stunt.

i think i have the right to be pissed if we made him the highest paid player in the NFL and he is tied for most interceptions in the league

I dont get why some people have the hardest time saying he his having a bad year? People love to blame it on other factors such as the bounty and the length at which it took him to sign..... Player of his caliber should not be throwing this many interceptions. Period

So how much of that came out of your pocket? WTF, this year would be the exact same had he taken 2 million a year. Drew brees isn't calling all of the shitty plays. While we're on the subject, how is it his fault he lost the top signal caller in the league?

Oh and his "shitty" year would have a shitload of other teams in the playoffs. The defense took almost the entire year to adjust to Spags scheme and they're looking good now. The timing was the absolute worst for everything

Be pissed at goodell

Be excited for the fricking massacre sean Payton and drew brees are going to put on the league next year. Everyone knows they're the best in the NFC with Payton and they'll be playing a 3rd place schedule next year

yeah Im sure Loomis just stalled the contract talks with his best player and it had nothing to do with Brees' camp.

You have any idea how a negotiation works?

Yeah, they had 2 years to sign him and they knew he was going to merit top dollar. Loomis waited until the eleventh hour. They basically gave him what he wanted all along. No way it should've taken that long to meet where they did. I'm not vilifying loomis, he's been great, but he didn't handle this one as well as he could have

And drew deserves zero shite. He was underpaid for six years. No complaining, no holdout, nothing.

What he wanted was the largest amount of guranteed money in NFL history. The dude got what he wanted, and not sure he could have gotten it too many other places.

He has just underpefromed this year, I can't see it being much worse than it has this season.

But there were other places, and all it takes is one. If drew hit free agency, we'd have to pay him even more than he's making now. Ridiculous, he would've easily gotten what he wanted from a host of teams

You must have been really pissed, on principle, when P manning was paid $28 mil last year to literally do nothing. He's having an off year not a bad one and it's under some pretty extraordinary circumstances. What do you care how much he makes? We'd have the same roster regardless.

Anyone who blames Brees for this season should give up their rights to being a Saints fan... Goodell?

I dont know the season tickets that I pay for among other merchandise.

All I was saying is that when you pay high dollar for something, you expect it to produce high dollar results. And all this bull spit about having a playcaller. Tom Brady has had 5 different OC's so you cant really blame it on that

- Worst QB Rating in 6 years
- Highest Int % in 10 years
- Lowest Comp % in 10 years
- Already tied for 2nd most INTs in a season in his entire career, with 3 games left.
- Last three games, 4 TDS 9 INTs; QB ratings of 86.1, 37.6, and 75.1.
- In the 8 losses, 16 TDs 15 INTs.

He's having a bad year. And, he single-handidly cost us the 49ers and Falcons games, which basically removed any doubt we'd make the playoffs. And, we've lost to a 2-11 team and a 4-9 team.

Drew Brees is having a bad year. It happens. Denying it doesn't change that.

I forgive him. Dude has the weight of a franchise on his shoulders and he's bearing it better than anybody else could. He has no HC/OC and has to overcome his team having the worst defense in history. I'd say he's having an excellent year considering the circumstances.
