What would be the timetable then?

6 weeks?

I think it depends on the grade.

I think Kyler Murray didn’t miss any time with one. Marc Bulger missed two weeks, came back got injured again and was placed on IR.

I tore my AC joint in college and couldn’t move my arm in a throwing motion for about three weeks. I had a huge bruise on both the front of my chest and behind my shoulder blade. Went to the student health center at LSU - doc said just don’t do anything with it for a while. I would guess six weeks minimum if it’s a tear.

wrong

you cannot x-ray muscle tissue, the fact they needed more ex-rays says it has to be a bone issue

prepare to hear something along the lines of fractured, or broken collar bone.

My son had a level 2 sprain. He was out of football for 3 weeks. He came back, but wasn’t really 100% until about 6 weeks. He couldn’t flat bench press for about 4 months

You can actually see an a/c joint separation on an xray and with lack of full ROM and bruising, you can basically assess a tear or sprain. MRI will tell for sure but the worst part about this is its his throwing arm.

Yeah to me thats the big issue. This will affect his throws even when he comes back.

The only good thing is that he's still relatively young and has arm strength. May lose a little of deep ball but not enough to be concerning.
