He tried to rehab it and then got surgery.
Lol right before the season, calculated to miss it because social justice. Whether he's really hurt or not now, he should never get the benefit of the doubt.

"Don't worry guys. I'll ready come start of the season, 36 months from now."

I'm sure they know the timetable. They just aren't saying it.
At this point I’m not sure how anyone could be certain

It's March 28. I mean, that is about another six months to recover. Jesus Christ...
Setting a target date of the start of the season isn't a good thing.

I’ll say it again - cut or trade him
Even with the new contract, who the hell would trade for MT? What have you seen recently that any GM would give up assets to acquire, even a 7rh?

If he's not healed by now, will he ever be?
I know people with broken backs who have taken less time to recover than this phucken' toe.

Not 100% but they are expecting him to be ready for the start of the regular season is going to be the title of a movie made about New Orleans pro sports during the 2020s

right... this is the time you want all your injured players to have their medical procedures so they can be healed up and ready to go come the start of the regular season
right... which is why we're all frustrated with MT considering he put off his scheduled surgery causing him to miss the first 6 weeks a few seasons ago.
