mmmm...although Reggie is a good choice for most improved, I will have to give the nod to Devry. He has been really catching the ball this season. Yes, Reggie has improved, but I really think Devry has improved more so than Reggie. Just take a look back down memory lane and recall all the easy drops Devry had since joining the Saints. We haven't really seen that this season at all!!

Reggie Bush. This is too easy.

we have a couple of guys worthy.

henderson already has 4 40+ yard plays on only 12 catches. 84,81,52, and 51 yarders. he has not dropped the ball either, he leads the team in receiving yards also.

bush still has trouble running the ball but has made up for it as a receiver and punt returner

moore has been good for us so far, has 29 grabs and his avg is starting to come up to a respectable number.

grant is the leading tackler on the line and has 3 sacks, a safety, and a defensed pass. he already has more sacks than last year.

Offense:
Bush-at least with his ability to make cuts after catching the ball in open space, not so much running the ball

Carl Nicks-looks good in limited time

Devery Henderson-not as many drops, and has actually made a play or two on short to intermediate routes

Lance Moore-Dude actually gets open and makes some tough catches, maybe weak, but he makes up for it with his hands

Defense:
Charles Grant-leads the team in sacks, has improved his pass rush very much, and his run stopping has been a little better as well

Roman Harper-although he's missed a play or two, the guy has been all over the field, especially in the running game

Bryan Young-in limited time has been great at run stopping

Kendrick Clancy-has been exceptional in place of Ellis in stopping the run

Jason David-hasn't given up 3 td's a game yet, really hard for him not to have improved, we'll see if he can keep it up

its hard to give up a td when you are riding the pine....now with porter hurt and david having to play, its only a matter of time before the 3tds/game occurs

no , b/c Devery is doing what he did last year, throw it out there and he'll go get it. 10 yards curl and you can hear to boom of the ball bouncing off his pads over the Dome crowd.

Most imporved = Lance Moore

You know what's really terrible? That Meachem sucks so bad he's not even mentioned on a thread like this. The guy never even got to put on his goddamn uniform last season and he's still not so much as an afterthought to this category.

With Colston, Shockey, and Patton all out - he still cannot get onto the field. I don't understand it. He seems like an intelligent enough kid to me - surely it's not that he can't grasp the playbook? What is the deal with his only running flies?

I think SP is using him and bringing him along just fine.

In Reggie's last few games, he's been more of a straight-forward runner and is trying to get the first down rather than the 75-yard TD.

quote:

Carl Nicks-looks good in limited time
He's also a rookie, and by that definition has nothing to improve upon.

quote:

Devery Henderson-not as many drops, and has actually made a play or two on short to intermediate routes
There's nothing to disagree with here.

quote:

Lance Moore-Dude actually gets open and makes some tough catches, maybe weak, but he makes up for it with his hands
Again, nothing wrong with this except that this was pretty much Moore's MO last season.

quote:

Charles Grant-leads the team in sacks, has improved his pass rush very much, and his run stopping has been a little better as well
Grant has 3.0 sacks on the year, tied with 20 other players who all trail sack leader John Abraham, who has 7.0 sacks, by four. Maybe Grant has improved, but comparatively, he's still just flabby and not that good.

quote:

Roman Harper-although he's missed a play or two, the guy has been all over the field, especially in the running game
This is the Roman Harper we all know. No difference in his game at all.

quote:

Bryan Young-in limited time has been great at run stopping
Kinda. He's also been injured.

quote:

Kendrick Clancy-has been exceptional in place of Ellis in stopping the run
He's been adequate. Not improved, just adequate at filling space.

quote:

Jason David-hasn't given up 3 td's a game yet, really hard for him not to have improved, we'll see if he can keep it up
I can't say he isn't improved, but it's nothing earth shattering.

Reggie Bush is second in the NFL in receptions at 41 behind Brandon Marshall with 43. He's 21st in yards (not too bad for a RB) and 11th in TDs at 3. He's also got 3 return TDs.

I'm voting for Reggie Bush.

You could almost make a case for Drew Brees as well.
