I’d sit his arse and still start Rattler. Haenor would be 2nd and Carr the emergency QB. If he doesn’t like it, tough shite.

Not starting the best qb is strange, but whatever.

I’m not really sure what you people expect, Carr is going to get extended and will be the starter on opening day barring injuries. It’s not his fault we have incompetent front office.

I know you weren't responding to me, but all I was saying is he's spot on about what carr is. I'm not speaking on anything else contract, cost, keep, cut, etc.

Matt states the obvious in the most obnoxious and annoying way possible. I think it's funny watching him melt. He stands on his retarded fandom emotions too much as a radio guy. It's a bad look.

I’m sure the team would love that idea. The superior qb riding the bench.

That’s how you lose the team day one as a coach. Great idea huh.

Moscona

Sports talk in Baton Rouge is pathetic. Louisiana as a whole isn't worth two nickels since Buddy D died but lord Baton Rouge is the most god-awful place in the country for professional on air sports talk and information personalities.

You're better off letting guys like Mathieu finish these contracts than deciding to restructure to move money in the future.

Mickey never just eats bad contracts. He almost always punts it down the road for future Mickey to deal with. If you have low talent and low cap room, you have to embrace the suck for a year or 2. Punting the cost just keeps you mid.

I still remember driving one day and listening to him go on a tangent similar to this about how bad mark Ingram was and how’d he pick at least 25 running backs over him and then proceeded to name them.

To be fair, there was a bandwagon of Ingram haters early on. That 2017 season with Ingram and AK was magical though. I still randomly think about the Bills game and that 95 yard drive of 10 straight runs without a single pass attempt. I wish we could've gotten more seasons with those two together.

I don't understand.

Right now, here's the dead cap for those older guys for 2026...
Cam 14.9
Davis 8.7
Mathieu 7.2

What do those numbers go up to if we restructure them?

It almost doesn't matter if you cut Carr or start ridding yourself of the others. In either case, you are going to need to restructure whomever you don't cut and move that money into the future.

People confuse the cuts not helping THIS YEAR with the cap meaning they don't help. That money frees up next year and it will be needed to get away from whomever you decided to keep this year.

I'm of the opinion that we should cut Carr.
