If Anderson really wanted to retire a Saint, he wouldn't have demanded to be the league's first million dollar kicker and then run to the Falcons when the Saints didn't kiss his arse.
He's the biggest prima donna to ever wear a Saints uniform. It was and always will be about him. The Saints should sign him, get his hopes up, and then cut the selfish old bastard the evening before the game.

He has nothing to prove and should not be a part to a stunt.

Exactly. That's basically what this amounts to. I mean, I'm sure we could pull a chick off the LSU women's soccer team and let her kick a goddam extra point against Atlanta if we get up 3 touchdowns. We'd set NFL records and make history but it's still a horrible idea.
Andersen sucks - he should just go away. You know he had wet dreams about kicking the game winner of the 2006 Domecoming and ruining everybody's party as a Falcon.

The Saints totally screwed that pooch. Morton did ZERO wrong in the situation. They had already given him th big contract and then broke thier word to him...different team administration from now of coarse...but still it was the team who messed up.
