Teams don't excuse players when they want a new contract.
Likely personal stuff he needs to attend to and we should respect that.

Wouldn't make sense as he showed up to OTAs which aren't mandatory, but is missing minicamp which is.
Why show up to the practices which they can't fine you for missing but miss the ones they can?
