Its not moronic to say Teddy is proven or that he won 5 games for us this year.

Its moronic in that sense that people whine taysom isn't proven when he might be playing on a RFA cheap tag yet they willing to pay teddy 30 mill based on the game manager scraps we've seen.

Lamar is the most overrated QB in the past 20 years.

Would it be fair to ask how far drew brees took us?

Lamar Jackson also passed for 365, rushed for 143, and had nothing to do with Henry rushing for 200 yards.

I think Taysom is a much better thrower than Lamar.

There are receivers that throw the ball better than Lamar.

Has anyone ever questioned taysom s arm?

I haven't. I know people questioned his accuracy

23 year old, unanimous MVP, led league in TDs and TD%, top 10 completion %, 3rd in pass rating, 1st in QBR

vs

30 year old with 19 career passes and no NFL starts under his belt.

How does one even draw this conclusion?

Still clinging onto that 1 SB win from 10 years ago.

They've sniffed it the last few years. Hell they were close enough to sprinkle nose hair on it in 2019 before they legit got f'ed in the a by the refs.

I've never seen anyone question his arm strength. Dude has a cannon. I've seen many people question Taysom's accuracy, & I'm one of them.

I'm not saying he will or won't be a good starting QB, but we really don't have any solid evidence to say that he will or won't be. He just simply hasn't gotten enough reps to say either imo. The only time he has been a full time QB is in the preseason against 3rd stringers. That doesn't mean that you can't try & give an educated guess to project how good you think he will be though.

The things he's proven are that he's a good running QB, good at RB/FB, good as a receiver (he really improved here in 2019, b/c he had shitty hands in 2018), good as a blocker, & good on special teams. That's a shite load of things, but none of them equate to how good he'll be as a passer.

Personally, I hope we give him a 1st round tender. If a team is willing to give up a 1st round pick for him, then take the pick. I just hope it's not a playoff team that wants him, b/c that would be a very late 1st.

So it boils down do if i can have a prove it year from Taysom at 10-15 mil

Of course you could. You should get a year at MUCH cheaper than that if you’re giving him an actual shot. The dude has accomplished literally nothing as a QB in the nfl and was still playing special teams for peanuts last year.

I wouldnt. I'm sure you said the same thing when Cam Newton won the MVP. Guy cant throw from the pocket. Plain and Simple!! Great runner and athlete. He's inaccurate and cant read defenses along with poor mechanics.

So was Cam Newton. Turns out he isnt very good. If you knew anything at all about football and mechanics then you would know Jackson has one of if not the worst throwing motions in the entire league. He is horrendously inaccurate when his wrs are not wide open. He had a phenomenal year due to his legs. Like all of these "Running" qbs eventually they have to learn how to throw from the pocket. They have to learn how to know what a defense is doing before the ball is ever snapped. They have to throw wrs open routinely. This is something Jackson hasnt been able to do. People said the same thing about every mobile qb who came in the league. The ones who last more than a few years have adjusted and became pocket passers.
