I heard it and they both said they loved the call, you could just hear the emotion was the words Mike and Mike both used.

Me too, when Mike Golic said fans can't say "WE" when referring to pro teams I said frick him.

You know what kind of people say things like this...

People who make it to the NFL but fricking suck when they get there. This guy self admittedly was a joke of a football player in the league. He clings on to the only fraternity that makes him feel important! People who are great football players don't care how the fans refer to teams. To be honest its more appropriate for me to say we when referring to the saints then some guy who signed this year and might be gone the next.

"Homer-ism"?? Henderson is a HOME team radio guy! WTF? It's not like he's a Sporting News guy or ESPN Radio announcer. He should be able to do or say what he wants.

They really need to check out the Vikings call of the second INT. Especially considering the fellating of Favre by all of ESPN, they'd call for that color guy's job.

Golic was a nine-year NFL veteran, playing defensive tackle for the Houston Oilers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Dolphins and recorded 11.5 sacks and 3 interceptions in his career. Golic admitted to taking corticosteroids briefly while recovering from an injury. As his talk-show partner Mike Greenberg likes to point out, on each of Golic's three career picks, he was tackled by the quarterback. Golic was selected in the tenth round in the 1985 draft, taken 255th overall by the Houston Oilers [2][3]

OK,,,this is a dumb question, so bear with me.
I live in Shreveport and couldn't get the game on the radio here (wanted to watch the FOX telecast and listen to Jim Henderson).

I called our local radio station this AM and spoke to the Programming Director, who stated that the Saints network didn't have the rights to broadcast the game, as the NFL has proprietary control over the broadcasts during the playoffs. I told him that Jim Henderson was involved in SOME broadcast of the game, because M&M played his call on their show this AM. The Programming Director couldn't explain this.

So my question is what broadcast was Henderson on, and can we listen to his call of the Super Bowl?

Thanks for any help you can give me...we're in a vast wasteland in Shreveport when it comes to sports programming.

Did Greenie mention that he had to dry out his panties after the 80 yard Sanchez touchdown pass?

Greenberg said that although some could argue it was a little too much "homerism," he loved the call.

Was there anyone other than Saints' fan listening to his call anyway?

comparing to the 2 radio guys on the NFL.com highlights, Henderson beats the hell out of Paul Allen. That guy has an extreme case of the douches

They broadcasted the WWL stream in Shreveport(AM 870) and yes you'll be able to listen to it for the Super Bowl

they definitely liked the call.

but, i do love how tons of folks in this thread are irrationally attacking mike and mike without either:

1. hearing their words

OR

2. Reading the thread

You don't like them-don't listen or watch. Save on your blood pressure medicine.

I usually find them enjoyable
