Offensively, offensive line is a sieve with a very average QB (Carr) under center; this definitely has the makings of a disaster !!

As basic as the offenses are trying to keep things, so are the opponents.

Arizona's defense wasn't running any exotic blitzes or disguising coverages, and the starting O looked shitty. Having said that, the offense looked sharp against the Chiefs on the opening drive last preseason so no need to get too carried away.

Defense looked good mostly. That is clearly the strength of the team.

Special teams were good last night.

7-9 - 9-7. Not good enough to win anything. Not bad enough to get a game changing draft pick

Not with this front office picking

If Carr went 6-6 and led the team to a TD, people would be going crazy over the new scheme. If the OL held up in protection, people would be shining an optimistic light on the unit.

I’m not freaking out about preseason bc it’s much of the same we saw last season. It’s the same reports we are seeing from practice everyday. The onus is on the team to show some kind of progression. They don’t the benefit of the doubt, this isn’t a Drew Brees team coming off a 13-3.

It’s much of the same we see every preseason for every team. They don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt because we have the worst coach in football. The point is every year with or without Drew this board is full of the same idiots claiming Super Bowl or 0-16 because of a preseason series or game. Nobody said pessimism isn’t warranted but you’re somehow taking this comment that I’m challenging people’s pessimism. But it shouldn’t be because of a preseason game when i did see a lot of good to go along with some bad.

and certainly hope they can be great and crack top 5

With the QBs the Saints will be facing and an anemic offense, I’d be shocked if they finish in the upper half of yards allowed this season.

Foskey was terrible yesterday and the playmakers of last few years are well north of 30.

Anyone being the slightest bit realistic has been saying this for awhile.

The only thing the Saints do consistently is to suck, yr after yr and to cause ridiculous traffic problems when they play at home. God I wish they leave New Orleans - they're pathetic.
