Is it me or does Marshon Lattimore rely on the safeties a lot? Sometimes it seems like he gives up making the safety do extra work? Just pointing something out I saw from the game

Please post less if you don’t understand what your talking about.

Obviously Lattimore was in zone on the play your talking about. It’s common when teams have players like Mcaffery coming out the backfield on wheel routes. Lattimore is a legit shutdown corner and we are lucky to have him.

Lattimore is on an island most of the time. What are you talking about?

He literally was on the screen once today and was furious with himself for allowing a catch

There was one replay that showed Lattimore switching from Funchess to probably Mcaffery and Cam threaded a pass into Funchess. Safety help was a tad late but Williams cleaned it up for a minimal gain.

I know exactly what play he’s speaking of , from the replay it looks like he just stopped covering but Allen switches to zone coverage in certain instances.

Look stuff up before posting. Good try but learn before you criticize a STAR player for something.

He knows where his help is, and plays with appropriate leverage based on that. I’ve heard him get praised for this very same thing during a breakdown of his game by someone earlier this season. They said he was very veteran-like regarding this.

I would bet dollars to pesos it was a cover 2 play you are talking about. Some of you should educate yourselves before posting dumb shite.

That's called zone coverage. We have been doing more of that the last 5 or 6 games it seems.
