Lol. He's only rushed for 1,000 yards once in 6 years.

No shite, nothing wrong with him striving to be better. Isn't that what we should want in a player?

Are you going to go by only total yards?

If I were to rate RB's he would be somewhere in the 20's, around 20-25.

Well don't quit your day job.

The guy finally broke 1000 yards (barely) and you act like he had some great year. It was what a highly paid 1st round pick is supposed to do EVERY year.

Kinda hard to accumulate yards when you don't get as many touches.

I would put him around 18-22.

The ranking gets higher with every post.

No, if I say he is ranked 18-22 that still puts him top 30. 18 is being very generous.
This year I think he will get around 700 yards, 4.5 npc and 4 TD's. Where will that rank him?

Keep thinking Ingram is a top 10 NFL running back. That is delusion in its highest form. You guys really need to take off your Ingram Jersey and watch a little football outside of the Saints.

Just to stick with the facts/stats he was 11th last year in rushing yards.

I don't necessarily use that as a baseline but a lot of people do.

Everyone seems to be overlooking one key word, COMPLETE. The guys he referenced as benchmarks are great and do an awesome job running the ball and when used as a receiver on screen plays. Where I think Mark separates himself from them is his ability to motion out of the backfield and line up outside the numbers or in the slot and still have the ability to create separation at the line of scrimmage. None of those other backs are asked to do this often and I'd question their success in a Sean Payton offense. For those of you simply going about it with a "let the numbers speak", then I could see how you find his comments comical or find his game to be tier 2. It's almost as if you guys expect him or would appreciate more if he would have said that those guys are light years ahead of him in terms of talent. He's simply speaking from an opportunity stand point. WHO DAT from Houma!

Remember, there's always more to numbers i.e. a safety leading his team in tackles is a great individual honor, but the reality is that front 7 is probably do-do. David Johnson is regarded as a top 10 back but he was second only to Larry Fitzgerald in receiving yards on his team. He's a great back with tons of talent and athletic ability, but they are relying on him to be the second best receiver on the team. Numbers = who's hot right now, just like "Top 10". It doesn't' tell the whole story.

Idiotic. 20-25 of 32 STARTING running backs in the league...really???. There was only a total of 12 backs to crack 1000 yards in the entire league. Dude you're throwing out a ball park rating based on your personal expectation what an NFL running back should be. GTFOH lol.

Ingram @ 5.1. Dude you're throwing out a ball park rating based on your personal expectation what an NFL running back should be. GTFOH lol.

Ajai, Gordon, McCaffery, Gore (at this point in his career), Fournette, Crowell, and Hyde are all worst than Ingram.

Ingram may be done after this season if Kamara shows out as a capable replacement this year
