Screw it I'll bite. Please tell me what you are basing this "bust" status on?

I'll have what he is having at happy hour this afternoon. What banned substance has he gotten into?

Maybe top 30.

He did not do well the first couple years but after that he did OK. I think our line over the years has helped him out.
I remember the days when we could not find a damn RB and got so desperate we had to trade our whole damn draft to get one. Now we are loaded.
I also think MI is a bitch for his antics just like a certain wide receiver who thinks he's robin hood every time he scored.

Top 8 in the league, are you joking? Maybe top 30.
Please feel free to list the 29 other backs you think are better. I'm sure the upvotes will be raining in on that post.

So he gets the blame his first couple of years. But when he starts performing it's not him but the line?

I posted stats in the past on where the Saints OL is rated, usually in the top 5 with run blocking. So yeah, it's helps, a lot.
edit, I will also say, what he is good at once a hole a truck can drive through is presented to him, he does a good job of getting past the secondary line and breaking tackles.
The Rams game was a good game for him in that regards.

“I just want to keep proving that I’m the best complete back in this game,” Ingram said, via Mike Triplett of ESPN.com. “You know Le'Veon Bell, David Johnson, I feel like I can do the same thing that those guys do, given the opportunity. So that’s my mindset, that’s my goal. I want to be the best back in this league. That’s what I come out here and work for every single day.”
Shut the frick up, Mark. All Day is now here. Go grab him a Gatorade and take a knee.

So you are saying running backs that have a better O-line put up better numbers. [sarcasm] I have never thought about it like that before [/sarcasm]

Just responding to you questioning my post.

Fair enough . I just seems like you are going with the never give him any credit approach. Dude has balled out for us the last 3 years given the opportunity on a very team friendly contract. I wasn't on board the first three years either admittedly but credit where credit is due he has brought it since.

He's played better, especially the last two years. I bitch about him but happy he's on the team.

Did we just have a disagreement without calling each other names? Am I on the right board

I can say he disappointed early on, but as a lead back the last 3 years he's been better than fan-favorite Pierre Thomas.
Bring on the down votes.

You mind filling me in on those 29 that are better all around backs. I'm waiting.

Did I miss him being proclaimed the best back in the league? I understand the dude works hard and has been good for the saints, but best in the league? That's comical.
You're totally right. I like it when players come out and instead of saying they'll try their hardest to be the best they say Eh, I'm cool with average, I mean I'll probably never be in the HoF so why try that hard?
