So 2019 Joe Burrow?

But no.

I'm not knocking Jones but the question marks about Jones are not those Burrow had. Period. And to play in the NFL at a high level they are very important.

Can you make plays under constant pressure and can you move out of the pocket and make plays.

And I am not the only person asking. Everything else about Jones is fairly well known and he is a sure fire 1st rounder.

Bama hasn't done well with NFL QB Talent. Tua is now being viewed as a potential over reach.

Not saying Jones is a bust but... I wouldn't move up much to get him.

You know I like you as a poster Tide, but is this really the position you want to defend here.

He hates Winston. Hate may not even be strong enough a word. He super-duper-mega-loath’s Winston! But I can’t fathom anyone thinking Trevor Siemian is a better NFL QB than Winston.

Can you stop starting threads about Mac Jones, Darnold, Wentz and Trevor Siemian so you can tell us how much you hate Winston. We get it! You like Jones and you ate Winston.

Right?

My favorite part is we starrted at Watson/Rodgers/Stafford and now we're down to Darnold and Alex Smith. How low do we have to go before Winston can be considered the superior option?

Who are bama's 1st round qbs? I'm not sold on Mac Jones, but bc he was bama's qb doesn't eliminate him imo.

No, not 2019 Joe Burrow. Name one time where Mac had to step up and make a play when his team was under pressure? I can only name one and he threw a 100 yard TD to the wrong team.

So you're saying 2020 Alabama >>> 2019 LSU.

Interesting.

Neither had LSU until Burrow.

Find another bad reason why you don't like him.

I don't dislike Mac Jones. I just don't feel like I know enough about him to clamor for him as a first round pick.

I mean you have to give him credit for his success in 2020. There where times where I thought "damn this guy just doesn't miss throws". But at the same time he was able to often operate under the best of circumstances.

~The best offensive line in CFB

~One of, if not, the best running backs in CFB

~The best WR in CFB plus another great one in Waddle in a more limited form

How well does he perform under pressure, both physical pressure when his o-line doesn't perform and mental pressure trying to carry at team on a game winning drive? When the talent gap is tightened at WR/CB or without an elite RB to lean on?

Ole Miss tied the game in Oxford with 11 minutes left. TD on the next possession. Ole Miss made a field goal when they got the ball back. TD next possession.

Georgia was beating bama at the half. He threw a 90 yarder to Waddle to 4 minutes left in the third to take the lead and then scored on the next two possessions.

Florida brought the SECCG to within 1 score twice in the 4th quarter. TD on both following possessions for Bama

There was adversity, it just didn't impact him at all.

jones is the only qb who would fit the sean payton offense and hes accurate and has the big arm that the saints would need because you can't count winston even being there after this year. he would want more money then mac jones then jones would take at #10 pick to 28 pick to be with the saints for 3-4 years

If we can get Mac.....

...Get rid of Winston.
Bring back Brees one more year.
Let Mac hold a clipboard all season learning under one of the all-time greats.

Basically what the Giants did with Eli.
