He wants to take a break first. Unbelievable. Gayle probably told him to take a month off no worries. I hate the direction we are going. People have gotten way too complacent with their jobs in this organization.

With the moves he made last year, he should just take the entire off-season off.

i think you're being a bit drama off of what's being said.

esstentially, removing emotions and making calculated decisions is what you ask for in a GM/president. He's also quietly saying, i'm gonna sit back and let wildcard weekend play out and see what the complete nfl landscape is with coaching changes and vacancies. Nothing immediate is happening in the NFL. Saints control the biggest chip. Let the leverage gain traction and steam.

Hmm, Payton took some time off after last season and then retired. Could Loomis be considering another role other than GM to open the door for Ireland or Harley?

He should be preparing for the draft and looking for a new coach or a new offensive staff at least.

he has a whole team that does annual preparations for this. the season ending isn't some sort of magical button time.

i think its calculated with research and the landscape of nfl openings.

Wow, an NFL GM doing his job and not letting the fans and media make decisions for him.

Quite normal if you ask me.

BTW you should consolidated all your threads bitching about Loomis and Gayle into one so it's easier to avoid them.

Think you guys are being a bit over dramatic. Its probably standard for execs to take time after the offseason when they can get it.

Doesn't have a plan yet? Well that's a big surprise.

What’s the big change everyone is asking for? (not DA, he ain’t getting fired this off-season)

Some new blood at OC. There’s a decent chance that person is still coaching in the playoffs. Just like every other year, we’ll have to wait for that to play out.

The season ended just days ago and the draft isn’t for 3.5 months. Not everything can be expected to change overnight. Relaaaaaaaaaax, man!

Some of you lightweights don`tn have an clue what the Saints
in Mickey. The Saints are in the top 5 in the NFL in wins
the last 10 years. They won the superbowl with a team Mickey
built. You people dont know what bad management is.Having
gone to the 1st Saints regular season ever at Tulane stadium
,it took over 20 years to have a winner. The grass is never greener on the other side.

His dumbass had all season. It’s not like we ever had a chance. He’s copping out like Payton.

That would be extremely unwise as he would have nowhere near the power anywhere else.

Down years happen. He gambled that keeping things the same would work and it backfired.

Before the season, almost everyone was on board with this method. Sucks that it didnt workout. But he should at least be given a chance to correct some mistakes. If not, pass me a torch and ill join in on the mob lol

The guy is a bean counter and border line incompetent as a football GM.
