With us adding Derek Carr, the projected cap situation, and getting the picks from the Payton trade, I think we are top tier contenders in the NFC now. Looking at Over The Cap, even with this contract, we won’t be $60mil in the hole, next year, we should be around even in cap room. Which is way easier to maneuver than minus 60.

If we can draft well, looking at the potential NFC landscape, we are top contenders.

The Giants are fixing to wipe out their cap with Daniel Jones and possibly lose Barkley.
Eagles with Hurts are top contenders. Although we beat them and can match up.
Redskins will be Redskins.
Cowboys will always be Cowboys.

Packers losing Rodgers to the Jets most likely, Packers done.
Lions on the rise.
Vikings one hit wonders.
Bears are the Bears.

Seahawks and 49ers are definitely teams to be worried about.
Cardinals and Rams are not.

And the NFC South is trash.

Saints are top 4/5 team now, and anything can happen in the playoffs.

Any draft can completely change things, but I agree

Umm no we don’t. Allen has no idea how to stop Hurts.

Best case scenario is we play them
in the playoffs when he’s hurt.

Only three NFC teams lost more games than the Saints last year and one of them was the Super Bowl champ who lost their QB very early.

Beat them without Hurts

I think they stick around record wise, but their record did not properly reflect who they were

Need to see more from Seattle before I give them this. Shanahan has proven he deserves the credit to be able to plug & play at QB; and I still have them as the 2nd best team in NFC.

This teams has plenty of issue that aren’t going to be fixed with the addition of Carr

No depth at RB

Oline health issues

Dline isn’t good outside of Cam

The secondary is only good when they want to be

Sure, if we are moving DA back to DC and getting a whole new offensive coaching staff who knows how to best utilize all players on that side of the roster.

Otherwise, nah.

feels like half the eagles roster are FA's this year. Between that and the age of their stars/vets, they'll have a tough road.

Well it seems like none of the conference is going to improve or regain health based on this! We should be in great shape!

Why do you just blow off teams like the Vikings who have an arguably more talented roster as simply one hit wonders?

Are our lines going to magically improve? Don’t we need a few DTs and someone who can get after the passer to be top contenders?

They won I believe 11/12 games by a single possession. Hard to maintain that, and they already cut their All-Pro LB for cap room. I think they take a step back. Lions on the rise if you ask me.

What in the world made you think we were contenders when Winston was playing?
