#Vikings RB Dalvin Cook wants to match if not surpass the $13M per year that David Johnson got from the #Cardinals in 2018, per @AdamSchefter.

Obviously Kamara and his team will be watching this. I’m very much on the side of not overpaying for Kamara based on his lack of durability as the season wears on. $10 million a year would probably be my ceiling for him, and even then I’d hate to be the Saints cutting that check

Don’t pay kamara. Ride him out this year and draft a replacement.

I would guess the Vikings let him walk or get him cheap. He’s had too many injuries already. At least Kamara has pretty much played all season every year so far.

Kamara is a great asset to this team, but yeah. He’s a little too injury prone and has really slow recovery as well. I don’t think he should be a highly paid RB.

Paying Kamara probably depends on what Brees does
If Brees retires you can long term him
If not you look for his replacement in the draft
I still am not sold on hill as the qb successor to Brees
They can take a long look at Winston in camp, preseason and practice and then if Brees retires you get a more friendly qb deal with Winston if he is your next qb and then you can extend kamara at that point
Too many moving parts but it will all play out

Kamara was literally only injured this year
You def pay him but only pay him for 2 or 3 years
I'd give him 2 years 26 mil with 15 guaranteed

Dalvin Cook has had 1 healthy season in 4. These NFL guys are insane. Shut up and play out your rookie deal. If you don't like that, kick rocks. The teams all have you for your first 4 years, 5 if they pick up your option. Thats the CBA deal. Renegotiating the rookie deal after being injury prone, for possibly the least respected position on the team. RB's are a dime a dozen. He doesn't deserve another dime until his contract is up.

Kamara should be traded in the offseason. Use him this year and draft his replacement. I don't want him anymore anyway after his bullshite this week. He's good, but he won't be for much longer. I would not invest in any RB. Dumb move for any NFL team to pay your RB big money.

Yeah you’re right. I guess it’s for people coming to spill idiotic opinions about a guy who has had one injury in 3 years (most of which he played through) and calling him injury prone and slow to recover (from a high ankle sprain and deep knee bruise). Man, I’ve really missed the other idiots ok this website. Welcome back.

ESPN's Courtney Cronin reports holdout Dalvin Cook would "gladly" take an offer in the $13 million-per-year range.

The initial figure reportedly proposed by Cook's camp was close to $16 million annually (similar to Christian McCaffrey's recent extension), but that side has recently dropped their number to just under $15 million. It's still far removed from the Vikings' initial offer of $10 million per year. As Cronin points out, Minnesota signed Stefon Diggs, Xavier Rhodes, Everson Griffen and Linval Joseph to extensions on the eve of camp in recent years, so all hope is not lost. But Cook remains prepared to sit out the season and avoid playing during the final year of his rookie deal — a transgression that would cause the 24-year-old to become a restricted free agent (rather than unrestricted) after the 2020 season. Buckle up.
