I wasted 18 minutes. I wouldnt say they were on the money. Some good points were made. Florio seems butthurt because Carr banned him on twitter. He says so at the 2 minute mark. Another agenda driven media hack

Eh. I agree its a bit biased but hes not wrong either. Carr is deflecting blame on him by putting it on others. It could also explain his falling out with the raiders.

true. Carr didn't mention the source of the frustration. You can tell on field when he is frustrated with himself. Nobody will point that out though. They harped on the blowups. Frankly, the blowup at Olave was 100% justified and necessary. Captain DA and duputy Pete wont hold him accountable for his lazy play.

Brutally honest talk there. I get a young rookie making those mistakes, yelling at players, bad interview, but not someone who's been doing this as long as Carr.

We keep saying this but theres a lot that goes into it. Was Olave even the initial read? Whats the down and distance? Did you communicate to Olave about what your thinking on that play? Again not saying Olave is blameless but this happens on every team with wrs. Its just being heightened with our crap play calling and honestly bad QB play.

He’s just an average arse QB that’s beyond frustrated with the team and coaches that’s in turn making him play even worse than he already is.

Hazy memories of Bobbie Hebert emerged last night.
As did "playing not to lose" rather than "playing to win", but those are even foggier.

Man, none of that matters. There's a play call. Olave has a route that he needs to run on that play. It doesn't matter if he is the last option or the first option. Olave needs to run his route, every route, like it's the most important play of his career. That's what he gets paid to do. Not lollygag down the sideline because he thinks the ball isn't coming to him. Pre snap, all carr needs to do is say the play. He isn't entitled to special instructions or a pep rally to do his job

I disagree. All that matters. Maybe if your a shitty qb it doesn’t. This a second year WR not a seasined vet. If anything we should put more focus on why Carr is not communicating and on the same page with Olave- we signed him to be a leader, communicate, be on the same page with his wrs. Its his responsibility as a leader and qb. Hes failing at that miserably.
Posted on 10/20/23 at 2:29 pm to Pels_Yaz
Olave is the second year professional. If he was running a go route based on that play design..... Then his arse runs a go route. Olave absolutely quit on the route. That isn't debatable. Carr is an average QB. He does not have time in the huddle to give direction to every skill player. I don't mean this as a sarcastic comment, But have you ever been in a huddle?
Posted on 10/20/23 at 2:35 pm to Shaq4prez
Yes, and I can tell you a good qb from a bad one very quickly on the way they communicate especially in the huddle. Carr is a seasoned vet and that we gave a lot of money to not just be an average qb but an above average one with great leadership. Again your completely taking the blame off a seasoned vet and leader of your team abd putting it on a secind year WR. Olave not putting full effort on every single play is the least of our problems. Again this happens all the time in every level of football.

That's exactly the problem
Look, Carr is ok. Olave is pouting. He's a typical diva WR. There's blame to go around everywhere. My primary discontent is with Carmichael. The saints have failed in 3 of 4 losses on the last possession of the game on the opponents side of the field. 2 of those 3 were inside 20. 1 of those 3 were from inside the 10

Carr is NOT OK. Hes pouting on the sidelines as well. Hes a typical not my fault, lack of leadership qb. Olave is the diva but Carr isn’t? We keep making excuses for him. But Carr is a major problem with this team, more than Olave.

I'm not just going to keep arguing with you. You have your opinion and I have mine. I'm okay with that
This team is fundamentally flawed.. It starts with the coaching staff and trickles down everywhere else. It has good pieces but they're never going to win anything with this staff. They should be able to run away with this division based on the players they have.... This includes the quarterbacks. But he and the rest of the players are trying to put square pegs in round holes because of Carmichaels ineptitude

Yup couldn’t agree more on that. I hope we hear DA make changes soon on Carmicheal. If he doesn’t do it after this game, I don’t know if he ever will.

I think it’s becoming pretty evident that maybe Carr is just a dick and his teammates hate him. Polar opposite of Jameis who admittedly isn’t my favorite QB but seems like a blast to be around.

we get it, you want winston back at QB
but winston doesnt know the plays, he never could learn the play book, but he can run for a few yards to get a first down

If he pulled his groin, I can empathize. Did it one time playing basketball. Talk about debilitating. It’s f’n insanely painful. Guy battled. That’s all you can ask for. He’s not a super star player. He’s a good to average qb. When you have a good to average qb with a shite coaching staff, this is what you get
You nailed it in your own way.

I blame the coaches' terrible playing calling and game plan that led to Carr looking like a mediocre QB. So Carr is spreading the pain down the line. Now it's a matter of who will step up to right the ship. I'm hoping it will be the ownership by firing the entire coaching staff. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

Coaching's fault is a bad offensive design
Carr's fault for not being a better leader. Show frustration but do it on the sideline, we've seen Brees Brady and manning do it. But you gotta go on the sidelines to talk to your dudes.
Olave's fault for lolligagging on routes. Your route opens up the underneath, there's a purpose to every design, just like how some routes began opening up things for taysom as the game went on. You can't loft on routes because that's how turnovers occur
