Lockdown LAT is the best corner in Saints history. It’s funny and pathetic to see the casuals slander his name, dude has been MONEY since he arrived and deserves to get paid.

Right. I'm saying he's going to get paid bigly and I don't see how we can afford him and one of the best RT in the game at the same time. Oh, we're also about to pay Kamara too.

This is why you do not tie up $14 million a year on a running back. Kamara, when healthy, is a great player, but that is a position that can easily be found in the draft and have instant impact in the NFL.
Ram and Lattimore need to take priority over Kamara. I'd trade Kamara for assets and draft his replacement in round 2 or 3 next year.

I agree that LAT is definitely one of the best corners the Saints have ever had. His play is frustrating though. He seems to party a lot and he has made a habit of showing up to camp out of shape. After his rookie year, it feels like it takes him the first 1/3 of the season to find his groove. I follow him on social media and he definitely seems to have a bit of an entitled attitude as well, so that might not bode well for contract negotiations.
Either way, I hope the Saints are able to keep him, but it will be tough with the way things are going. I am infinitely more concerned by the prospect of Lat mailing it in after getting paid than I am with Kamara or Ram, for whatever that is worth.

We actually have 2 good starting cbs for the first time in awhile.

I must not have been clear. I never said I didn't want him to come back. I said I simply don't understand how we can afford both him and Ram next season, with our next All Pro LT in Ram being more important (yeah, I said it)

I'm not really for paying any CB that much. After RB, the elite cover guys seem to have a pretty short shelf life. Usually comes shortly after the fat extension.
