Thats great to hear but remember CJG said spent all training camp with us until DA/Loomis traded him for a bag of peanuts.

What is it. Like 3rd or 4th team in four years?

I mean not saying hes not the easiest guy to have on your team but helped eagles defense to superbowl. Then was hurt last year but was a pretty good defender for the Lions during the playoffs. Point being I still think they will trade Lattimore. I hope Im wrong though.

I have no problem with your last point. My point is the hysterics over the Saints trade was myopic.

Yea hard to justify that trade. Year he was traded saints go 7-10, but only 1 win more and saints win division.

Not hard for me to believe CJGJ could have gotten the saints 1 more win and yielded a home playoff games. Thats worth a lot to me, and CJGJ has a knack for impact plays.

On the other hand, saints clearly should have been tanking in 2022. We were 4-9. Finished 7-10. If we ended with 6 or fewer wins we are picking 4th overall in 2022 with Sauce Gardner and Kayvon Thibadeaux on the board. We avoid the whole penning and Olave trades altogether. Those 2022 year end garbage time wins really hurt.

Gardner-Johnson was going to be cut if we didn’t find a trade partner. He was that toxic.

Lions fan here. He sucked and pretty much everyone hated him by the time the playoffs rolled around. He also played like shite in said playoffs, idk what you were watching.

I thought he played well against the Bucs and had a key interception against them. Saw the other two games but I didn’t notice he was playing horribly but again I wasn’t watching him closely so I could be wrong.

I think that was largely due to his personality and to be fair when he was with us he consistently played well. That whole trade seemed kind of weird. Like waiting till the absolute end to trade him for scraps.

I honestly think the CGJ vs. MT fight at training camp was the catalyst for the unraveling of the franchise. It pitted players against players, as well as coaches vs. players. You also had CGJ having a major contractual issue where the Saints weren’t able or willing to meet his demands, which fractured the relationship even more. Combine that with the supposedly toxic personality that CGJ is and it was a recipe for even more of a disaster if signed long term.

Also remember CJG is a head case and he's proven that every year since being traded.

Thats good news.

Need hin to be engaged during the season. You can't be paying a guy 20 mil and allow him to loaf around.

Don't allow it to get to that point. Have a number and when he declines the offer, then move him.

Maybe he tricked them and was playing nice but good organizations always have plan a,b, and c lined up. Loomis doesn't strike me as that guy. He has been on the losing end in too many transactions the past couple years.

Is this even true?

I know he went crazy after not getting the contract he wanted with the saints.

Didn't hear anything about him in Philly. In fact they re-signed him after letting him go to the lions for a year.

Why would Campbell and Aaron Glenn sign him in free agency if he was such a headcase?

Why would the Saints, Philly and Lions release him in last 3 years if he's all squared away?

He went crazy after the contract with the saints. I acknowledged that.

Philly re-signed him in this free agency period after his first stint. Maybe the lions tried to and Philly gave him more money.

My point is, the only case of him going crazy was after the saints didn't give him the contract he wanted.

After skimming an article it seems like he made a huge impact on the lions locker room and they had interest in bringing him back after missing almost the entire yr to a torn pec. And we already know Philly brought him back. So why does Philly bring him back if he is such a bad locker room guy?

Facts are that loomis and Allen messed that entire thing up. Defense took a huge step back without him. He wasn't the only reason but a part of it.
