It was embarrassing watching him try to get to certain plays but he just couldn’t. Demario is losing it too. Damn father time is a mofo,

In his prime he's the best lineman we ever had.

The NFL is a business, and players should be treated as such. Loomis seems to have emotional ties to players who were great for us at one time, but have long passed their prime.
It's time to bring in younger players to replace Demario Davis, Cam Jordan, Honeybadger, etc. I know some of the fans have loyalty to these guys but if you watch them closely in a game, you'll see where the loss of a step or two due to age is hurting us.

Demario Davis, Cam Jordan, Honeybadger,

The guy formerly known as the badger has been horrendous. Watching that mess last night had me remembering the pre Payton years when the saints kept bringing in aging veterans and they were just milking salary for a few extra years before no one wanted them.

This gets me curious if the young guys are looking at these old guys as the leaders and only meeting their effort and ability. I can see a possible weird dynamics having younger guys not being pushed because the leaders are no longer performing as leaders.

I think he was done starting last year. The guy had 8.5 sacks in 2022. It’s def time for him to step away though.

His body might be done but his contract will live on a few more years

This team is done. Just appreciate that Cam is still playing, he doesn’t need to be elite for this team. This is unfortunately eerily similar to the year Jameis had us firing and then tore his acl. We were looking great, 2-0, Taysom goes down, then Carr goes down. Might as well have Rattler start the year and get us a top 5 pick.

Dropped INT aside, while Tyrann has missed some tackles this year, he has been ok and saved probably 4 or 5 long tds this season. Our defense line and linebackers have been horrible the past 2 weeks. There were at least 6 or 7 runs where the RB wasn't touched till hitting the secondary. Its actually amazing the Broncos didn't hit 5 or 6 50 plus yard runs.

He was done a few games ago. I really hate see him leave. I am sure that he will retire in 25.

Maybe we can convince them to retire and get that money off the books

I agree TM7 has been playing fine. Davis is now an average LB. Jordan shouldn't be on an NFL roster, especially for that salary.

Won't work.

If he retires after this year it would hurt us. He's sitting on $38M in dead cap right now. Next year it will be $24M

He will be on the Ram retirement plan. Go on IR next preseason, wait another year until he officially retires.

Last night? For real?!! He was averaging 0.08 sacks per game in the 23 games before last night. Not .8....0.08.

Wait! We have linebackers? Hell, you wouldn't know it. Opposing running backs seem to prance through the gaps at the line and find no resistance at that second layer of defense, as well.
C'mon man...it's good to keep older players for their leadershiip but when you have 2 or 3 starters that you've kept for their leadership, who the hell is making the plays?
