I have never understood why Archie is so idolized in this state. Yes, it appears he is a good guy and so are his sons. But what the hell else has he done for the state?

More than you have ever done. nuf said.

He was way overrated as a NFL QB and it was not just due to his team sucking excuse. He fit right in with the team. For his time he was paid very nicely by the Saints.

Actually, he was the only good thing the Saints ever had when he played. And Pete Maravich was paid very nicely by the Hawks, yet what did he do for them? Should we not revere him in this state?

quote:

He ships, not by accident, his sons out of state for college. There was no way in hell Eli and Payton were going to LSU.

So when Deuce's son goes to Ole Miss, will you say the same thing about him?

And Peyton and Eli are Yats. Simple as that. Two Yats who made good in life, not on daddy's name, but by achieving their own name. Both are superbowl MVPs. What have you ever accomplished that you can stnd on that soapbox?

I wonder what they would say if Brees has a son and he goes to Purdue, Michigan or Texas

In the end the heart of the Manning hate is LSU fans that don't understand that not everyone in La, especially in NOLA are LSU fans.

But you CAN be a ranter and hate him

It's weird -- there was considerable hostility towards Peyton from Ole Miss fans when he chose Tenn, but it has almost completely disappeared.

Yet the pathological obsession from Rantards goes on...

The Rantards are so upset that kids from Newman would rather go to UNC or Georgetown than LSU. It makes me laugh.

As a NFL QB Archie was not a hair on Drew Brees'arse, probably not on Heberts' either.

I'm surprised that no one has brought this up before.

I also asked this exact question in one of the two dozen other threads on this same subject. I got no response.

Impossible as you have no point and therefore, no validity.

It's not about a lovefest. Some Rantards are actually grown ups. You're not one of them.

For one thing, your original post is . . . how can I put this . . . full of shite.

So it's not a "LoveFest" just because some people disagree with your assesment of A. Manning as quarterback or his responsibility to send his kids to a Louisiana school (and he had no such responsibility, by the way).

Define lovefest?

What's amazing is that you think anyone who disagrees with you is a "lovefest". Or that defending someone from retards is a "lovefest".

BTW how old are you boy? I really don't get the point of the complaint anyway? Am I not supposed to still like Alan Risher because LSU has had better, more accomplished QB's since then?

Why do you have you panties in a wad over the fact some people like Archie Manning cause we grew up watching him and don't hate his sons cause they went to schools outside La.?

It's because his passion for winning for the Saints was no less great than any of the players on today's roster

Let me ask you this. Did you feel this way about Archie 4-5yrs ago?? I never heard anyone from the SOUTH or Louisiana say anything negative about Archie until this year.

Most LSU fans hated Archie when he played for Ole Piss. When he became QB of the Saints, we tolerated him. Then when he didn't let his boys even think about going to LSU, the hatred returned even greater. Thus, it's safe to say that many LSU fans have hated Archie for a very long time.

Forget it. You won't get a reasonable answer. They ignored it when I asked as well.
