They have tried multiple times, he is just standing firm wanting a Watson type deal. He wants the price tag & 100% guaranteed

Wonder if the owners will ever make a hard push in the future to have at least 50% of the contracts incentive based.

Doesn’t mean they won’t still trade him… and I’d love to see Atl give up a shite ton for him and still have to pay him $50m+

They can do this today. All it takes is 1 owner not to

Umm, did you not watch what he did to us when he came to the Dome this year? Hell Allen had trouble with Mariota that first game. Darnold ran all over us that last game. Allen’s D can’t defend running QBs. They’d vault to the top of the division depending on his health.

We have a former MVP under center? That’s news to me.
Some of you make the most idiotic statements on here lol.

Same reason they loved Vick. Same reason dumasses on here defended Winston so hard…..

He’s a diminishing asset at an age where he should be entering his prime. This is the kind of move that could cripple their franchise in a couple seasons.

QB hits are cumulative to the body. Just like RBs, they only have so many hits they can take

And that’s what I mean. He was an MVP because of how dynamic he is. Whoever pays him will be chasing that kind of play making ability at a price 10x what he was making at the time.

He will never be as fast or heal like he did at 22.

That system schemed large(by nfl standards) windows for him to throw into.

He’s still a lighter and more athletically built which will be horrible for taking hits when he can’t outrun everyone in a couple years.

He’d be unreal to have on a rookie deal but 40-50M seems like franchise suicide to me.

I certainly hope so! The Ravens have Pro Bowler Thuntley, so they don’t need Lamar Jackass.

Pass TD rate %

Pat Mahomes 6.4%
Aaron Rodgers 6.2%
Lamar Jackson 6.1% (10th all time)

Int rate % sits at a mere 2.3%, same as Drew Brees for his career

His top WR by year
John Brown
Marquise Brown
Marquise Brown
Marquise Brown
Demarcus Robinson

Oh and he’s won 74% of his starts and made the playoffs 4/5 years

To be fair his "#1 target" is Mark Andrews, who is a top 3 TE in the league.

That being said, Lamar's issue is truly health. He's missed 5 games this past year, 5 games the previous year, and 1 game the year prior.

That is more concerning than his play, when he plays he's a threat. When he's not, you're gonna sink 40+mil into dead space

I wouldn’t want him.

Not that is always the metric to judge a player by.

But in this instance it makes me feel better.

If it happens, we’ll see if my gut feeling was right.
