So should the Saints start Taysom Hill at QB? Because he's 23-11 as a starter in the NFL with a similar style to Jackson.

This will be a tough discussion if you think Taysom Hill has started 34 games at QB

Hill is 7-2 as a starter, the teams he has beaten had a combined record of 54-74 (he beat one team with a winning record - Bucs at 13-4), and he throws TDs at nearly half the rate of Lamar Jackson. That being said, you make the playoffs last year if he’s the starter, and the more financially sound decision would be for him to be the QB until you find a true franchise QB

Are we reading the same thread. There was 1 poster that said that. There are a few that said they’d take Carr over Lamar because of the cost. But even if you include them, it’s still not more than half of the posters

I’ve gotten 21 downvotes and 9 upvotes for telling a poster who declared “Carr is a better QB in almost every way” relative to Jackson that he was fricking delusional. So you’re not reading the same thread I suppose.

So confidently incorrect...it's stunning.

Carr is the better choice. No draft comp and waaaaay cheaper if things don’t work out.

Lamar wants $50mil a year with 250mil guaranteed all while being slightly more available than MT13. Nobody is going to pay that and he will either settle or sit out.

42 out of 47 posters said we should not have gone after Lamar instead of Carr based on upvotes and downvotes of the question posed in the first post of the thread.
