For those don’t speak Twitter, Saunders is saying that Frank Clark called him and then he put a thinking emoji. Sure that could mean absolutely nothing, but then why tweet it?
Interesting. We win the offseason if we sign Clark to a reasonable offer.

Clark on a one year deal is a no brainer. We have a 34 year old DE on one side and have to count on Granderson, Turner or a Rookie on the other end. I know Clark is small for what we do, but he doesn't have to be an everydown guy.

Hey he is Irv Smith size lol
6'3" 270
We should absolutely take him for a rotational player on the D-line.

A 30 year old DE who still contributes solid rotation snaps.
Surely we can do worse

Interesting/infuriating reading the comments and seeing what other fanbases think of the Saints
At the same time, it's pretty seeing them refer to the team as a poverty team when the Saints are always one of the bigger spenders.

DE Frank Clark has BEEN that dude:
•8 NFL seasons
•120 games played
•263 tackles
•67 tackles for a loss
•131 QB Hits
•14 forced fumbles
•58.5 sacks
•3 Pro Bowls
•2 Super Bowls
Plus- he’s never missed more than 3 games in a season.

Clark has not been good since going to KC. Not a huge fan of his. He takes too many plays off. Now, if he comes in on an incentive-laden deal, maybe.

That and he will get rotational money not starter money.

Recency bias at play bc he played well in the playoffs
He had a regular season quarterback pressure rate below 10%, ranking 83rd out of 130 edge defenders with at least 100 pass-rush snaps.
I think there are better options

I wouldn't say "not good". He didn't live up to that contract but he wouldn't be making that kinda money here.

when he took a 20.1% pass rush win rate (17th-best in NFL among edge players per PFF) and notched 9.5 sacks in Baltimore, despite playing a career-low 44% of his team’s snaps.
Justin Houston.
Could get him on the cheap while still getting younger players snaps.
I'm not a huge frank Clark guy but I'll take him at the right price.
