Is that larger or smaller than Burrow's?

Smaller.
No QB except Michael Vick has been very successful in the past 21 years with sub-9 inch hands.

And I’d be willing to accept the possibility of an exception, if it wasn’t a 24 yr old rookie, with less than stellar athleticism and a resume of winning frick-all.

For comparison, Burrow's measured at 9 inches and everyone made a big deal about. Burrow joked about it a lot.

If he's there at 18, I'd take em

And Vick used to throw the ball 70yds if he want too.

He will be pulling an Aaron Brooks and throw the ball backwards from his delivery

Also for comparison those 9in hands were attached to the arms of Joe Burrow and these 8.5in hands are attached to the arms of Kenny Pickett

Just remember if you take a QB in the first round you are essentially saying you are in rebuilding mode. The defense we have now and the offense have the capability to get us deep into the playoffs. We are lacking a WR who can stretch the field. Jameis was doing solid QB play before getting hurt.

So 49ers were rebuilding last year?

I think there is probably a threshold where this means nothing.
But idk where that threshold is.
When QBs hold the ball to throw it’s not a death grip, which is You see guys with enormous hands cough it up mid throw.
He does wear QB gloves all the time, so you have to wonder if grip is an issue.
I don’t think there is a direct correlation between arm strength and hand size though.

I don't usually agree with Cowturd on anything, but he did make an excellent point about why did it take so long for Kenny to "breakout"? His ceiling seems much lower than a normal first round QB.

I'm all for trying to re sign Winston and picking someone else in the first round.

I'm sure Cowherd tore up his show notes and completely rewrote his whole show now. Tiny hands are gold for ratings.

The 49ers got a veteran QB, not a rookie.

I've seen him throw a ball. I wouldn't be concerned
