Ken Crawley must have given up 10 or 12 completions, and about 200 yards. He was so ducking pitiful he was approaching a failure level of the infamous Johnny frickin'Poe .

I dont understand why this thread is needed. We all know he sucked! Dont need to be reminded.

But to make light of this situation, if he sucks more, give PJ a shot.

Ive never liked Crawley. He’s below average at best. We are and have been lacking a true #2 CB

I've seen high school corners that are equal too if not better than Crawley. Draws lots of penalties and can't cover

he was great by any statistical or metric based measure last year but this was a pretty inauspicious start.

Last year he had a PFF grade of 81.6, and allowed an average passer rating of 81 when targeted throughout the season. He was targeted a lot because people didn't want to throw at Lattimore, and offenses are going to make plays.

He was terrible Sunday, so was everyone else on defense. Lattimore got lit up light a Christmas tree, but people only want to talk spit about our CB2. Crawley isn't an elite second CB, but if he returns to the form he played most of last year in he's an above average CB2 in the NFL. Whether he, and the rest of the Saints for that matter, can do that is yet to be seen.

Anyone who can't agree with this is either still bitter from Sunday or an a-hole who expects every CB to either break up or intercept every pass and calls them dog shite when they give up a 3 yds on a slant.

Well put, my friend

Lattimore was hot garbage all preseason also. Im really worried about the sophomore slump with him.

Also, why did we stay in bump & run all damn game?

We never played much press man at all. We played alot of single high with at least one corner playing off about 7 yards mostly in cover 3 and sometimes a little cover 2. Same garbage we did weeks 1 and 2 last year when we got torched. We have man press corners yet still run alot of zone. Allen sucks. Never called any contains, tried to roll coverage, send extra heat or spy. Dennis Allen is still dog shite

I've always maintained that Ken Crawley is a sub or a backup CB, and not a starter. He's just not starter material imo, his skill set is better suited to being a nickelback. The Saints gave up on Delvin Breaux much too soon, the man was badly hurt and diagnosed completely wrong, he was out there playing on a hobbled bad leg. Anyone would look terrible playing like that, in that shape with that painful leg. Payton should have allowed the man to get fully recovered and then had given him the chance this season to reclaim his starting job because he is much better than a Crawley when healthy. If they are wise they would bring him back from the CFL now or when the season is over or whatever.

Oh, and Johnnie Poe wasn't that bad! Have you seen Poe play?? I don't think you have because they were much worse CB's in Saints lore than JP. LOL

Not sure why anyone would want to single out a single kernel of corn in that pile of sh!t the defense laid.

You're right, bro, the whole D sucked arse!! No pass rush whatsoever on a damn near 40 year old QB, and then they allowed him to scramble and run first downs on those 40 year old legs with the last one being a killer. LOL I truly believe had they sacked him and the Saints gotten the ball back, Drew Easy drives them for the score and tie with the extra 2 points. Dude was unstoppable at that stage of the game, he would have easily thrown for over 500 yards. I mean that's crazy how both those guys were playing, a couple of 40 year old QB's, got damn crazy!! LOL

But I would be okay right now if Nolan got promoted.
