He had no leverage w a raise, trade or being released

Asking for more security was half reasonable considering he prolly knows he's undermarket value

Meh. Not happy about this. Whines like a baby and gets more money. Shoulda told him tough luck. Not like he would ever hold out into the season anyway.

Agreed. Saints won 7 games last season. That means no one is irreplaceable, and Lewis was beatable last year. I couldn't give a rat's arse if his feelings were hurt because all of his friends got traded. We could win 7 games without him.

Homeboy is getting to live the young man's dream.... get paid big bucks for your hometown team.

All while being a good guy in the community (He and many other Saints donate their time to underprivileged kids through the LA Children's Museum, playing yard ball with them, reading books, etc., all good things). I like his hustle, plays like a pissed off underdog. Glad both parties worked it out.

Let's make a SB run now.

from earlier; applies to you too

you're a fool. you hold our best defensive player who is also the guy who played on one leg half the season out of his passion and loyalty to the game and this team to his emotional outburst that he later recanted once he had calmed down? if your friends and family held you to your standards, you would have none you miserable wretch. go EAD

I think it shows the saints will reward hard work and people that care about the team

Great move by the saints

By the way, I was against the tirade when it happened but I think he admitted he handled it wrong and made it right with the saints

I've said it before and I'll say it again Keenan is easily the most important player on this team not named Brees. Great move by us keeping him happy!!!
