now if you do move them you will be lucky to get any type of decent return because other teams know you are desperate

Their contracts make it impossible to move them, as is the same for any of our aging veterans. What is going to hurt is watching Kamara play for another team next year while we carry a 10 million dollar dead money hit for him.

We can't get out of these contracts.

Our roster is a collection of car loans that we're upside down on. We've extended and refinanced depreciating assets (aging players) to the point where now, even if we did trade those cars in, we'd still owe the bank money on vehicles that somebody else is driving. We can't get out.

Both players play hard but it's up new coaching staff.

This holds true for Latt, but not AK. Holding the $10M bag would suck, but it would be better than the $29M bag that Loomis will need to finagle a way to manipulate to drastically reduce that. And becasue of how the bonuses are structured, I think the lowest AK could get to would be around that same $10M mark while now having $11M in dead money in 2026

They can def get out of these contracts. Both can be be a post 6/1 cut or trade. Both freeing up a ton of money. Unfortunately they both have to be dealt post 6/1. Doing that also creates a ton of cap room.b

It can go the other way too. A contender that has a key injury might be more willing to deal now vs in the offseason
