Phillips isnt worth the 10th pick

but i agree with the others

Ellis would be ideal

I dont know good the Balmer guy from NC is, but he may shoot up and be an option as well

DRC will not make it to the 2nd round. We need to take him at 10 if hes still there. And then get another LB in the 2nd. Maybe Connor of Lofton.

i'm hearing that third is possibly in 09, and it might be a conditional 3rd or 4th

if vilma shows in the next few weeks that's he's good to go this year than this changes our draft strategy.....we might not need another lb early as much as we need a cb, dt, and de, and oc/og....

If we sign Samuel along with Vilma, I still think we can possibly sign either Dorsey or Ellis, which would be huge. The good thing is neither is best suited for a 3-4 defense, so if they get past KC at the 5 spot, they should easily drop to #9 Cincy, which is why we need to move to 8. Sorry, dude's if this makes no sense it's because I am fricked up beyond relief. I hope I can make it to work tomorrow.

It seems there is a slight chance that Conner can fall to the Saints in the second round and he is a big mean MLB. If he is availabe, should the Saints pick him up as MLB and play Vilma OLB? Vilma did run a 4.54 40 at his combine so he is fast enough to play outside.

I still would rather Rivers (who can play outside or inside) over Conner. Keep Vilma at Middle and Fujita is da man!

Rivers will definitely not leave the 1st round nor do I think he is worth the 10th pick overall.

How would this look?

Grant-Thomas-Stroud-Smith

Vilma-Conner-Fujita

Yes, I am saying the Saints should make a move for Stroud.

Vilma should play his middle linebacker. We finally get a pretty legit MLB and you want to draft someone else to take over that position? I just don't see the need. Yes I agree Rivers is too early to take at 10 overall, however he is the best linebacker in my opinion and can play outside. So why not trade down some?
